It’s not the age gap but the mindset. Lucas was NOT a parent figure to Athy but more of a friend to lover relationship. Here, Clete raises Tita with the intentions and feelings of a parent and he too sort of thinks of her as a parent figure so far. It’s like an adoptive parent falling in love with a kid they raise. It’s less the age gap more of the relationship.
this all feels like Maquia, an anime movie, same mindset: has parent figure then raising an adopted boy and I love how the movie ended. With this manhwa idek how things will turn out

I know exactly what you’re talking about lol. I watched the whole anime and it was pretty wholesome until i figured out that they were going for more than familial and i was super disappointed. I kind of freaked out and resolved to never read the manga and let it just remain familial in my mind.

well, the boy she ‘parent’ raised ended up with his childhood friend and had a family of his own. While the parent separated with him, years later came back when the boy now a grandpa was moments aways to his deathbed.
