The story was overall pretty decent. I hated the idol arc because it seemed random and just super unnecessary. And although I kind of shipped Kang and Irae together I wish the author made him older. In non Korean years Kang was 16 while Irae was 20 so it was kind of weird for me. I don’t understand why he couldn’t have been 18 instead like??? Obviously in the story and irl, an age gap that involves a minor and is that far apart is looked down on, so thats really my only major issue with this story. Otherwise, it was a pretty cute story.

To be blunt, this story is a mess. I really tried my best to enjoy it because the plot is really interesting, but the writing isn’t the best. The pacing is way too fast and the character’s aren’t written well. I genuinely do not understand nocton’s character and his actions. If he just straight up told Valrose about his feelings and what happened, their relationship wouldn’t be so shitty. Also, I’m not going to even GET into how hes able to suddenly read Valrose’s mind because that makes literally no sense. Someone in the comments said he doesnt want to say Duora because he thinks shes under his spell, but that doesn’t make sense. Shes obviously not understand his spell because at one point he couldnt read her mind and she clearly resented him at times. So if that’s the explanation that the author is gonna give in the future then I- I honestly have nothing to say atp... There’s way too many things going on and not enough things being explained. It’s nearly impossible to not be confused half the time because of the writing. I really want to see how this story turns out so I’ll continue to read it, but right now its a huge let down for me.

The reason he wasn't able to hear her thoughts was simply because she was saying what she felt. Meaning, she spoked to him with good intentions and her mind was blank when she talked to him. But after Alice otter all the bs, she began to second guess EVERYTHING and paranoia became her best friend. Because of this he believe he brainwashed her the moment he said her name and invited her to his mansion. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ I mean, who wouldn't be confused. Right?

So far I really like this story, but I wish she was more transparent with her ex-friend about why she avoided them and how she felt. It just feels like nothing was really resolved and it seems like that girl really cared for her and wanted to be her friend :(. But since Byul kept avoiding her without any explanation I can understand why she feels some resentment towards her.

The friend group did but not eun-ah. She literally just explained the real reason for why Byul wasn’t hanging out with them. Which she shouldnt have done without her permission, but it wasn’t done to spite or anything. She just didn’t want the other girls to get the wrong idea about Byul. She obviously cared about byul because she went out of her way to check on her even when she was distancing herself. So my point still stands. I wish she was more transparent about her feelings because nothing was resolved and only bitter feelings are left.
