Nvm this is too toxic I’m dropping this. First the FL rapes him, then she humiliates him by making him wear that lesh, and next she flips out on him before he can can even speak. Then she makes him have sex right then and there without letting him explain himself?? It’s okay for him to be a masochist but OMG you shouldn’t allow people to treat him like that. There is no reason for why the FL should be acting like this. This has exceeded from toxic to borderline abusive-

Y’all realize that in all of the other straight books we read the man is just as toxic and y’all just be all over him. This is basically the same, except the roles are reversed and I feel like the author was trying to bring acknowledgment to it. Women can be just as toxic as men. But I don’t want to see anyone being all over other books that have toxic men and then when women do it is a huge deal.

Um I quickly skimmed your list and you seem fine. I can’t think of any names of manhwas to look out for but a lot of manhuas have these themes in them so I don’t really read them. But STAY AWAY from Haou Airen. Read that as a kid and I remember there being a ton of rape in it so yea- I would just stay away from mangas by Shinjo Mayu in general.

???? The ending doesnt even make sense. There were originally two knights in front of her so why is there only one suddenly???? Also the knight should be able to dismantle him even if her father unexpectedly stabbed pulled out a knife. But, how was he able to push her that far that she fell into a body of water??? People were obviously watching the confrontation happen from behind so I’m not understand how suddenly the water is that close????

This poor girl has been neglected by her husband and abused/mistreated by her family and high society to the point where she committed suicide. All she wanted was validation and to be treated kindly. Why do you expect a person who’s been mistreated for so long to be strong??? Ofc shes going to CONTINUE to seek validation from the ML especially since he FINALLY showed interest in her. Not everyone is going to be brewing with anger and hatred towards the ones who wronged them. Its just not realistic. The emperor is such an unlikeable character. I’m not understanding why he decided to communicate with her through her dreams but not irl?? Like that doesn’t even make sense shes RIGHT THERE and is carrying your baby. Just talk to her and build a relationship with her normally like wtf?? Then hes sending people after her for the greatest crime someone can commit?? GO AFTER HER YOURSELF. If you can use magic to communicate with her in her dreams then why cant you use the same magic to find her??? She didnt even get that far at first. I don’t even want her to end up with him hes just a fucking asshole.
In a certain way this story is much more realistic than most others of these medival/princess/royalty related stories. An emperor cannot leave his post so easily, neither can he often be the person he truly is.
If what we see in the dream scenes is his true self then I have the hunch he's either mentally traumatized by something that happened or maybe his personality has been altered by some sort of magic. Seeing as his dream-self is completely normal and even sweet, it feels off to say he's just acting like the tough guy irl. It also doesn't feel right to say he's traumatized, but he could have a mental issue of some sorts (he does loathe people that declare their love and he DID worry about Elan but turned to his irl version even in the dream scene when he heard about her being pregnant...).
So far the idea I like most would be something similar to a story I wrote ages ago: A split personality of extreme sorts, with one half being good and the other thoroughly bad. And the bad one is the one that took over the body.
If that was the scenario, everything would make sense so far.

I find the emperor here very likable tho. I feel like he can somehow process how the thought process of FL works, like if she knew that he knew, he knows that FL will just run away from him (which really happened, so i think my theory made sense). So i think the communication in dreams is some sort of considerations of the emperor to the FL and not forcing himself on her life right there and then. He was giving the FL time to adjust to him, even if it meant deceiving her in real life.
I know right, I wasn’t really for how he treated her during pregnancy. Pretending he didn’t know shit and putting her stressful situations. Being stressed ain’t fun when you’re pregnant.
The FL wouldn’t want to run away from him if he didnt kill everyone person who was interested in him. He literally told her that if a woman came up to him claiming that she was pregnant with his baby he would kill her. Which made her scared of him. He literally said that while she was pregnant so ofc shes going to be scared if he finds out and runs away. I don’t understand why he would tell her that??? Instead of all the dream stuff he literally could of just straight up talked to her about what happened instead of manipulating her. I’m not understanding how you like him??? He doesn’t understand the FL at all. The FL obviously doesnt want to be with him but he labeled her as a criminal against the empire and is sending men to bring her back even though she doesn’t want to go back. This is not how you write a likeable character. The only good thing he did was feed her. Thats it. Otherwise hes very controlling and can’t properly communicate.
The story is so confusing- The alpha literally sucks. Hes extremely possessive, constantly assumes things, and tunes out the omega before he can even explain. LIKE THIS WHOLE MISUNDERSTANDING WAS SO DUMB. I don’t even understand how he was able to tune him out like that??? He clearly didn’t care about him that much if he just cut him off without further diving into the problem.
And then the sister was gone for SEVEN YEARS??? That doesn’t even make sense because idols are allowed to visit their families once in awhile. They should of at least allowed her to call her family again EVENTUALLY.
Also what was going on with the omegas ex job??? Like was he a waiter at a sex club or was he selling himself??? It wasn’t properly explained and I still don’t understand why the guy with the tattoos bullied him and then was genuinely super caring towards him??? At first I thought this was good but the plot really went downhill and this is actually pretty messy⚰⚰⚰.
The author tried to create a scenario in which the omega would end up raising his baby alone but didn't think up of better, more logical explanations for isolating him and ended up making everyone unlikeable lol.
Like, if the sister had been an anthropologist studying a group of indigenous people who live in a very isolated and hard to access area - that would make a 7 year absence so much more palatable than a pop star who just (ignored) prioritized her career over her poor brother for 7 years.
