Usually the side characters are far more interesting than the main characters. This story is reversed -- the main is way more interesting than the side character.
Then again, Jeanette was original the main character in the original story so maybe... that still holds true? The original "A Lovely Princess" must've been a snoozer with a lead like Jeanette.

Just wanna say... did anyone else notice that Yoon brought a sword?! Learned Sir was in seconds AGAIN of getting cut down by Yoon.
Painter really needs to be more careful. Yoon is mad obsessed with the poor guy.
It looks like Yoon didn't get any sleep after the Painter fled the room. He stayed up, reading, smoking, and drinking. The old man opened the doors to clear the air of all the smoke.
He wakes up, looks out and sees the Painter smiling and chatting it up with Learned Sir. Yoon's reaction was apparently, "Those two again..." *grabs sword* and heads for Painter.
I think Yoon's father sent a letter and Yoon burned it without reading at the end.
It's obvious why he wants Painter in to paint tonight. (No, not for sex). He just wants him in his room, beside him. I'm sure from his POV this is sweeter.
From Painter's POV its... *Horrified stare*

... is how did those with the healing gift figure out that having intercourse with someone was the best way to heal without draining the healer. Like, would your first instinct when seeing someone with a serious injury or suffering poison be, "Let's bang. That'll save you!"
"Hm... I see you've been poisoned. Welp, can't be helped. Let's head to the bedroom. This is for your own safety."

Is the author trying to do a parallel of how there is a small, persecuted minority who have been living in fear of discovery because they worry society will fear and reject them because they are different?
So in a way he brought the Dares and Liars out of the closet?

Probably. Maybe the author wants to point the issue in the society where people have to force themselves to behave the same in order to stay together. Like how we have to show a certain face to people so that we avoid conflicts. I think lying is not as bad as we used to think at some degree I think we need to lie & we need to be lied maybe.. Well it depends.

I reread the part with the fortune teller when she talks about nine kings were bestowed with a great power through their blood.
This line is important:
"She prevented the dragons from existing in their complete forms unless they drank the king's blood".
And Jin asks, "Were their cases where kings and dragons failed to coexist?"
And baby dragon answers, "Yes, when were curses were called down for a long time".
We know that Jin's blood is cursed and the baby dragon can't eat it like he's supposed to.
The dragon didn't know who he was until he saw Sul. Furthermore, how is able to take on his complete form when that's impossible without drinking royal blood.
Sul has shown no ability of regeneration, YET baby dragon has been able to take on his adult form. Is that adult form his complete form? Or just a halfway complete form?
The dragon has said he'll become one with Sul. Sul is his intermediate to be able to absorb the regeneration. I wonder why Sul.
I wonder if Sul has connections to the bloodlines of one of the other nine kings.
He used to check the bear uke's ear to see it turn red. He like how he affected the uke. Now when he snuggles close and glances up he's shocked to see that the uke's ear doesn't redden anymore. It upsets him deeply.
He's angry to be friendzoned (when he is really luck that the uke tolerates him at all), yet doesn't just admit he likes the uke. He wants to control, manipulate and play games, yet not once as he ever told the uke, "I like you".
Of course, even if he did I have a feeling the uke wouldn't believe him at this point.
That ship sailed long ago...
