Yeah there's a lot of academic discourse actually about the sexual violence present in a tom of BL, usually inflicted on the perceived "woman" or bottom despite being written by a largely female base. (Lots of ppl look at it as a way to process trauma and general violence against women without actually subjecting a woman figure to the violence, whether i agree or not though idk.) the manga is essentially about 2 dudes killing other human beings and falling in love w one another in the process. That's it. there is no "deep meaning" in the manga and the many philosophical dialogues were completely unnecessary. they made it quite a chore to finish this manga. the length of the chapters didn't help either. 100 pages for one chapter? that's like 4 regular BL chapters.

Ch1 already has the seme confessing his love and the uke fucking him, while in ch3 the uke has broken up with him and has dubcon sex w his colleague. There was no build-up, no nothing. Things happened because they were *supposed* to happen and the story felt quite mechanical, frankly. I dropped it by the 4th chapter.
