I feel like the friends, he lost 10 years ago, all made their wills with the sole intention of it a) taking a long time (knowing fully well, he'd kill himself asap if he didn't have them as his reason to continue living) and b) so he'd broaden his horizon / maybe find stuff, he actually enjoys outside of watching dramas.

I wonder, if we'll ever get an explanation for why Kangwoo is so obsessed with Heewoon. He may be an abusive and obsessive little bitch, but in his own twisted way, he clearly cares for Heewoon and so far there has been no explanation as to why.
Kangwoo clearly new, Heewoon used to stalk him all along and yet never did anything about it until he couldn't ignore it any longer (pretty sure, in the novel, he even states, he liked Heewoon stalking him and gives him permission to continue doing it lol) , so there must have been SOME positive feelings there before the start of the story.

I think he mentioned something about his naiveness and his submissive nature. He doesn't second guess Kangwoon demands he just does it. Plus Kangwoo likes power so it's like a good ego power boost to have someone who likes you but is also afraid of you. That's just my guess but I'm sure it's probably more.

It's funny. Kangwoo's love bombing even works on me as a reader, who knows exactly what a black flag he is and always will be. He is an abusive bastard (and more) but then he has this cute moments and I catch myself going 'Aw, how cute.' And right after, I remember, that, no, he isn't cute in the slightest.

I don't remember it being this bad in the novel. It was never good, don't get me wrong, but ouch. Maybe I have just repressed how bad it truly was (has been quite some time since I read the novel), or maybe actually seeing it just hits harden than reading about it.
I also feel, like the way he's going about the rape, makes it worse than just using brute force. If Wooyeon did that, at least Inseob could tell himself, he truly did not have a choice. This way, it'll always feel like he had one and chose the rape for himself. That might not be how it works in reality, but humans are prone to blaming themselves if stuff like this happens to them.

A wanted arsonist and someone, who had to have the difference between rape and consensual sex literally spelled out for him, but still much more of a green flag than most other ML's, who don't have a criminal record.
From some, I don't expect anything different/any betterr, given their jobs/family/environment (Zhenya and Ilay for example, but many more come to mind), but there are those, that should be a lot greener than MJ but aren't (totally not looking at you, Jaekyung).
They are so fucking wholesome given the circumstances.
MJ should give some much needed lessons on how to behave towards your partner to other (criminal) MLs even though, he's just a beginner himself in the art of consent, he is doing so much better than most of them.
