One whole chapter was dedicated to him trying to try and speak his mind and others try to get him to comit. I mean I’m an introvert and would dance around the topic but jezz this guy takes it to a whole new level. (๑˃ᴗ˂)

I was literally crying when I read that part of the novel and when I read this I thought he was going to live as well. ╥﹏╥
I think Eugene fell in love with Hari in her old timeline. I think that why he refused to give her away for her wedding and why she ended up marrying late. Now that there relationship isn’t as strained I think he will fall in love with her sooner, if he hasn’t already that it, now it’s a matter of time before he realizes it. I mean even she can see that he is acting the way he did as an adult in her past timeline. I won’t be surprised if Eugene gets jealous when he sees Hari and Johannes together.

Its because she had her fiance steal the necklace of the redhead bitch that can block the mind reading powers of the primce. But apparently her fiance failed since the red head is wearing the magic necklace
