People being mad at Wren further prove that the majority really read stories and barely understand them or their characters.Wren was tortured,everyday,all alone,FOR YEARS.He was made to become addicted to something without his choice.How do u expect him to get out of it totally fine and not twisted?Ya'll want deep characters with complicated backgrounds but expect them to be perfect,how does that make sense?

I kinda talked about this in a different way in a previous post.I think the author has difficulties portraying emotions and reactions that seems real.Her characters go from 0 to 100 in a heartbeat and their reactions look way too exaggerated in contrast to the context at hand.I could understand Ethan being jealous and him not trusting Wren,but the way the author decided to portray those emotions made it come across as too much.This is a problem I've encountered many times while reading this and it makes me disconnect from the characters .That's a shame cause the art is really pretty
That's an interesting observation, I didn't think about it that way. I just assumed the characters themselves were being annoying but perhaps it's as you said, the story can be to melodramatic in some parts.

A person having issues and a complicated backgrounds doesn't mean that their actions are automatically excused and everyone has to like them. it's not hard to understand that.
why would he not react like that?? Tristan may know him but Ethan doesn't. Wren is just another vampire who has ties with the man trying to kill him and the love of his life, aka he's a danger to the both of them. If you think Ethan is being immature then so is Tristan. He's too irrational about this and is not thinking logically, he even admitted to him himself
Aren't side stories supposed to show us a different side of the characters?A more in depth look on their life or a completely different story with the same characters,like what it would be like if the role were switched etc?What is this?It's the same thing but WORSE somehow.How did the author even think people would be more entertained by this?
The story is interesting and the art is good but I don't know why,it always feels like it lacks something.Emotion.Pathos.They look angry but I don't feel it.There's no momentum,it doesn't look or feel realistic.Even their love scenes,I don't feel the love,the lust.And that's saying much considering this is one of the more explicit smut mangas out there,uncensored and all

Omg I'm so happy I found such a gem.The art is so pretty and I know,I KNOW,the characters are not perfect,but I actually like that about them.Been a long time since I've read a story that pulls me in,and again,the fact that they all look sooo pretty helps lol.That's why I was surprised to read so many comments saying they don't like the main protagonists.I find the uke to be such a sweetheart,and yes hes a little bit of a pushover but you can tell he has some fire in him,he actually resisted and threw a few punches here and there when he felt uncomfortable.You can tell that when he does give in easily its because of all those pent up feelings.I mean,who's not a little bit of a pushover when they have a crush?Considering he doesnt look like he had much experience and the seme is his first love i find his actions quite realistic.And he actually has a personality.Usually when you read about pushover characters they're just portrayed as a shy blushing mess without a sense of humor or without a life outside the seme,but he actually has friends,people who care about him and with whom he can act comfortable with,and he's a little goofy.Hes such a cutie I don't understand how people don't like himand I don't find the seme to be so emotionless like some are saying.Yes he's a bit of a red flag,but it's nothing new in the yaoi world,but he still hasn't done something TOO concerning.He has a sadistic syde to him,CLEARLY,but his partners till now we're all consensient and he actually stopped from full on raping the uke when he was told to,which in retrospect is only basic human decency but considering we're still in the yaoi realm here,its a pretty decent dealand again,he seems like he's suppressing a lot,the biting of the lips is very telling and i liked how the author decided to insert that in very specifics moments.This has gotten so long but i'm really excited to see how the story is gonna evolve!
