No yeah i know they're not complaining about the yuri part. I'm just saying in yaoi you often find WAY worse stories in terms of what's good morally speaking and what's not. I mean, at least in here it's sort of consensual, while in the majority of yaoi's the story usually kind of starts with rape,but it's brushed under the rug cause at the end the guy being raped ends up liking it and falling in love and cause" hey! It's kinda hot! " So you don't find many people complaining about that anymore. I mean, there still are, obviously, I'm often one of them, it's just kinda seen like the norm now you know? So i just found it funny that so many yaoi readers were scandalized by the adult x minor thing in here

You make a point but it depends on the story and the reader. Any time I find a story that starts with rape I drop it since I read manga for romance. It was the norm 10 or maybe even 8 years ago but 90-95% of main stream yaoi aren’t like that anymore. It’s actually pretty rare for me to come across one that I see is popular or recent and I consume A LOT.

Well, mostly for romance ( ° ʖ °) but you get my point. There are readers (even yaoi enthusiasts like myself) out there concerned with the morals of stories normalizing rape, pedophilia, etc... and I don’t think vilifying all the readers of a genre is very- correct(?)

And I mean a broad genres like BL, GL, Shoujo, etc, don’t go comparing it to like some weird evil sub-genre 0.0
