still love this story as much as when I read it the first time. love that from the start everyone around them treats them being a couple/their queerness as nothing out of the ordinary; it's so rare to get such a respite from the real world like this. and their relationship is perfect, it's just two adults trundling along and doing their best to love each other the best way they both can.

I love the kid but this side story writing just sucks. the brother is a genuinely dislikeable, supercilious, homophobic bustard that treats people like crap and I'm sick of the mindset that you need to be around family that's harmful to you, it's always at the cost of your mental wellbeing which they don't even consider, for the sake of shared blood. and i know the resolution to this is going to be some version of that which is just ugh. tiring, especially as an asian. family aren't obligations to please and you shouldn't carry the emotional labour all the time. plus the trope of having an outsider fix the broken bonds between family is tired and it just feels like they're being a bad partner and prioritising their partner's family instead of their partner. like, we're queer we shouldn't have to do this towards bustards that hate us for just being. whatever.

just started and frankly this would be a terrifying horror concept because he literally takes over the body of the previous owner. at first I thought that maybe, a new world spawns into existence at the point of his reincarnation but no, that particular world already exists and he straight up just invades and steals their body. also does his mom not even know her son well enough that she doesn't react to this complete personality change. and how does he know the name and background of what seems to be a local Korean personality. he was British in his past life with the show not even being internationally broadcasted so...
