Wow. Past Chloe was a piece of work. Now that we're learning much more abt her, its starting to look like a miracle how the Duke was able to put up with her for so long.
Like not only did she lacks skills, she also lacked character. No wonder everyone hated her. I mean yeah, I could understand why she had such low self esteem but to intentionally harm someone innocent because she couldn't own up to her own incompetence just shows how worthless of a character she was. If i were there, it would really be hard to pity, much less respect that person.
Glad new Chloe is fixing things.

It will take a saint to like someone with no skills AND a bad character. Someone with no skills but a good attitude can be taught, while someone with a bad attitude but with skills may be disciplined. You can't just be bad at both and expect people around you to be okay with it. That's toxic and unreasonable. Her act of constantly shying away from things that scares her (even at the expense of another) shows the kind of person she is. There is no dichotomy between the action and the person because its the person who chose to commit those actions. Her trauma may explain her inadequacies but it cannot excuse it. At some point, past Chloe had to take control of her life and woman up but we've yet to see a flashback of that.
Of course I wont condone those who made fun or took advantage of her but I can't say the same for those who ignored her.

I didn't say anthing about liking anyone.
Lacking character isn't the same as having bad character. I would dare say the past Clhoe didn't have bad attitude. She could be a coward for not taking responsibility for her wrong doing, which was that one time (as far as the story goes, because it seems no one else hates her except the maid) when she was kinda cornered - and I'm not okay with that, but not a bad person.
As far as the story goes, it seems the past Chloe didn't expect people around her to be okay with it, she was too scared of them all to even have that thought. I would say she was not in an appropriate situation (both emotional and physical) to do or learn to do what people expected from her.
And there is a dichotomy between the action and the person who commits it. Or else there wouldn't be differences in killing someone by accident, on purpose, due to self-defense, etc., in stealing for food, for fun, in doing charity work for fame, as an punishment, for goodness.

Elissa is such a pitiful character and I can't blame her for it.
She can't trust Ginger because she never stopped thinking that it was her fault why her dad never loved her.
He was her parent, someone you can reasonably expect love from, but Elissa never got that. No matter what she did, she never got it and she started thinking that there was something abt her that makes people leave.
Then she met Ginger. And while it is reasonable for her to expect love from him because he is her husband, she never quite got over her fear.
Because if the person who was suppose to love her from the start couldn't, then more so everyone else.
Ugh. Her dad is an asshole.

Look I love Alejandro but people should stop saying Ibelina should say yes just cause he's in love with her.
She clearly doesnt see him that way and even if she does, she doesnt want to because of the consequences of a powerful noble falling in love with a maid.
A lot of people in the comment section should take a chill pill and understand that relationships should be equal and love isnt the answer to everything.

She was in fan love with him even before she arrived into this world.
Ibelina’s POV is that she came here to help ale from a sad end, but everyone keeps reminding her how his special attention towards her is a problem for his future and his status blah blah and the selfless loving care giving Ibee just ups and leaves.
How can people not see it ( ̄∇ ̄")
