the uke is dead because he protected king ( the killer) with his body from the bullets during the shoot out. and king probably went to jail because of all this but the police covered it up saying it was a shoot out due to a meltdown caused by extreme overwork to prevent any bad media regarding the police (because hell would break loose if they were to admit that the police officer who caused the shoot out was actually the wanted serial killer and the public would loose trust in the police)
