For starters I think it's really unfair to shit on the author for "dragging" the 2nd couple's story when they explicitly stated that the whole season would be about them. Now the season is over and we can see how intertwined their stories are and how pointless it would be to follow the main couple's story without showing where their fate is pointing towards.
