Spoilers!!! (like everything)
Lucio gradually starts to lose his feelings for Rosemond. He tells Trizia that his feelings for Rosemond weren’t really love, he was just lonely and needed comforting from his past trauma. Rosemond was raped by her brother when she was younger, so she used this to pretend to understand Lucio (when she really didn’t). At the emperor’s birthday banquet, Rosemond tries to swap Trizia’s gift of flowers to talk op with a type of flowers that the emperor hated (bc Alyssa used to adore them and planted them everywhere). At the last second, Petronilla gets different flowers. Rosemond gets in some argument with Trizia, and for the first time ever, Lucio takes Trizia’s side. Rosemond is extremely angry and loses her cool. She lashes out at Lucio, telling him that she never loved him.
Around this time, Trizia finds out she’s infertile, because Rosemond brought up that his majesty should have a mistress to have an imperial heir. Trizia feels extremely betrayed and hates Lucio even more. Trizia sends roses and a nice smelling perfume to Rosemond. Rosemond thought Trizia was giving up and accepted the gifts. She sprayed the perfume on daily because she liked the scent.
Rosemond is allied with Duke Eferni because she found out his weaknesses. Basically, Duke Eferni used to be the son of a baron, and Duchess Eferni was the one who had the noble Eferni bloodline. The duchess was drugged many years ago by the Duke, and she slept with him and got his child, which forced her into marrying the Duke. The duchess didn’t know this because she thought she willingly chose the Duke after she got drunk on alcohol because the Duke told her this the morning after their first night. The duke’s second weakness is that he worsened the hatred of Alyssa against Janet, which led to Janet’s death. With his weakness, Rosemond forces the Duke to adopt her, and Rosemond because Rosemond Eferni. The Duke has a mistress named January and they had a son together. January is plotting with Rosemond because she wants to become the duchess. They communicate through letters.
Trizia visits her estate for a day. On her way back, at night, her carriage is attacked by assassins. Trizia’s knight gets badly injured before reinforcements arrived. Trizia knows that this was the doing of Rosemond, and harms herself with a dagger so that she could use her injuries against Rosemond. The assassins suicide, so they can’t make testimonies. However, Trizia gets fakes to make testimonies, and uses them against Rosemond. Rosemond tries to get help from Duke Eferni but the guards don’t allow her in. A while before, Duchess Eferni went aboard to see her sickening son. The son died. Rosemond uses the excuse of the death of a family member to get out of prison. At the funeral, Rosemond tries to communicate with January, but January doesn’t want to be associated with Rosemond anymore. Rosemond goes back to prison knowing that she’s screwed. A while later, Trizia comes in, which was sort of like her victory. She tells Rosemond that Rosemond is actually just like her, because she too is infertile, which was from the perfume that contained infertility flowers. The next day Rosemond is executed.
After this it’s just Lucio trying his best to get with Trizia. Lucio fell in love and he constantly begged Trizia for nothing more than to accept his feelings. After Rosemond’s execution, Trizia tells Lucio that she wants to step down from being the empress, and leave the palace. Lucio is really, really, really affected by this. He starts crying and begs Trizia to not go. Trizia doesn’t listen. However, after realizing that there was no proper way to dethrone an empress without a crime, she realized she had to stay. Lucio tried his best to get Trizia to stay.
Trizia is sort of caving in, and at some point, she can’t differentiate between her feelings of compassion and love for Lucio anymore. Lucio had a difficult past, with Alyssa forcing him to kill Janet, and Trizia cried hearing about it. One night, Lucio has another episode, and Trizia went into Lucio’s room to ease him. Lucio doesnt want Trizia to see his ugly side and pushes her, but seeing Trizia falling, rushes over and catches her. Trizia is angered and attempts to leave but Lucio apologizes and his sincerity wins Trizia over. Trizia quickly pulls Lucio in and kisses him. Lucio is overjoyed. They do the ***. Trizia tells Lucio that she can’t differentiate between her feelings of love and hate anymore. Lucio tells Trizia he really loves her and all he wants is for her to accept his confession. Trizia is like ok.
Lucio is constantly trying to do anything he can to atone for what he did to Trizia. He learns how to bake so he can bake Trizia’s favorite sweets, and sends them over every day. Trizia refused to eat them at first but later accepted it.
It’s around this time that Petronila encounters Rothesay, the son of a count. They met when they carriages collided. Rothesay falls in love at first sight with Petronila. He goes to a big ball in order to find her. Petronila, at the ball, accidentally spills wine on her dress. Rothesay notices Petronila and immediately goes over to help her. He tries his best to talk to her and tells her that as a gentleman, he will assist her and will pay for the dress. Rothesay also asks for a dance. After a lot of pleading, Petronila reluctantly accepts. However, there’s a commotion later, and Petronila forgets about the dance.
Rothesay visits Petronilla’s home, and convinced her to go on a date with him because she forgot about the dance. Petronila recalled her past life and didn’t want to fall in love with anyone. After getting to know Rothesay, she falls in love with him. Rothesay proposes to her at the empress’ birthday banquet. Happily ever after.
The nobles are pressing Lucio to take in a concubine so that there can be an imperial heir. Lucio keeps refusing because he doesn’t want to have any woman other than Trizia. However, Trizia forces Lucio to get a concubine. Lucio doesnt want to but agrees. A concubine comes. After a month or so, she says something rude about Trizia, and Lucio gets really mad and gets rid of the concubine. Trizia finds out that she was fertile after all, and she is also pregnant. She goes to Lucio and jumps onto him in happiness. Trizia gives birth to a son. A few years later, she has triplet daughters. Lucio is really happy getting daughters because they look like Trizia. He wished that the daughters would love him more and become “daddy’s girls” (idk how else to say it lol). Unfortunately all four of the children like Trizia more and want to get married to Trizia. The later part is basically just a whole ton of fluff.
Side stories!!!
In their past life, Rosemond ascended to the empress position. However, Lorraine, a lady in waiting of Rosemond and the adopted daughter of Duke Witherford, plots against Rosemond. Duke Witherford had organized a coup de tat, and many nobles were on his side. They wanted to overthrow the emperor, who was out of his mind, marrying the daughter of a Baron, and executing innocent people (Petronilla and her family). Lorraine finds out that Rosemond never had a miscarriage because she was never pregnant. She uses this information and has maids testify this. Rosemond is dethroned and sent to be executed. Rosemond attempts to get out of her situation. She lured in Lucio, and Lucio sleeps with her. This is because under the law, women who carry an imperial heir cannot be killed. Rosemond tried to get pregnant so she won’t be executed. She gets symptoms of pregnancy like morning sickness. On the day of Rosemond’s execution, Rosemond reveals to everyone that she’s pregnant with the imperial heir. A doctor comes and examines her, but she isn’t pregnant. Rosemond is shocked. More doctors come, and they conclude that Rosemond had a phantom pregnancy. Rosemond dies.

I really wanted to see more side stories. I feel like the story started off nicely but it got rushed in the end. The whole issue with Hangnyum and his past with Hajin was resolved way too quickly. It’s like they glossed over it despite it having such a big role at the start of the story. The story also spent a good amount of time on Hajin’s friend’s crush on Hajin’s sister, and Hangnyum’s brother. It seemed like at the end these characters just were cut off because the author hinted at Sohyun and Hangnyum’s brother having a relationship, yet we never even see Sohyun’s post breakup life, or what happens to Hangnyum’s brother when Sohyun is finally single. Also, there was that whole blind date that Hajin’s friend went on. Wth happened with that? No info at all. And did anything ever happen between the friend and Hajin’ s sister? Again, no info.
Not to mention, even the main couple’s ending was really rushed. It seems like they had a huge fight, and they made up through somehow coincidentally meeting up at their previous school’s rooftop and then having sex, and bam no more argument. They don’t even explain to each other properly about the misunderstandings. You can see this when Hajin is telling Hangnyum that he never really slept with Jaehee but Hangnyum refuses to believe him. Then at the end, they declare that they love each other, and we see another scene where Hajin and Hangnyum come out to the sister and the friend. That’s it. We never see Hajin return to school, nor how Hajin’s company goes. We also don’t see how Hangnyum as an idol is going to deal with dating Hajin because it’s obviously gonna be a controversial issue, and they’re definitely going to be found out.
Lastly there are some parts of this story that just are nonsensical. How is Hangnyum winning a big reward? He’s literally been through so many controversies. There’s no way someone who is notorious for not showing up to movie filming, and also upsets other actors, would get an award like best rookie. Hangnyum is also part of the idol group. How come we almost never see the idol group performing? And while we’re at it, the story of the grey haired idol in the group hasn’t been finished. Hangnyum is an extremely popular idol, even though he’s known for being rude, horrible to his fans, and even sleeps around. This sort of idol would never come close to being popular in the entertainment industry. Since Hangnyum is so popular, how is Hangnyum able to move out and live with Hajin? Obviously fans will find out. It’s even more unrealistic to me that the other idol members don’t even know where Hangnyum lives now.
Moving on to Jaehee. After Jaehee gets dumped, virtually nothing happens with Jaehee afterwards, other than Hangnyum tricking Jaehee, which is a plot device that is never used. Why did Jaehee leave Hajin? All were told is that it’s bc Jaehee didn’t know where he was in life. How did Jaehee even come to this decision? We see him smiling and having sex with Hajin, and then bam next scene they break up. And then back to present, Jaehee has a girlfriend. How did Jaehee even meet Sohyun abroad? I doubt Sohyun would’ve just fallen for some random guy so quickly.
I’m a little disappointed with this story. It had so much potential. My guess is that the story had to get axed, or the author just didn’t have a good editor. There are so many holes, and plot devices that were introduced and then never used. I’m sorry for this huge rant. I just really liked this story at the start but I never expected it to end like this.

I can tell you some of your issues are not in the Korean.
In may Seoil announced it was ending soon. It ending in August I think. When she took a week or two off in the hiatus notes she talked about the end. We do feel like she rushed it and drop a few things. Jaehee seemed to have a different plot line. They did stop a week to change the story.
The issue with Hangnyum and Hajin was resolved mostly by their selves. However Hangyum did say everything but two things in chapter 40. Mi Amore told me there is a lot we don’t pick up on either from the English translators changing It or Korean culture. Hajin already knew what happened and he went to fix. He waited for a week. When they meet by coincidence Hajin wouldn’t be acting that way if he thought Hangyum was avoiding him by not call him in week. When he says he been getting spam all week. He actually said it has already been a week. They are from Korean and sometimes they indirect communicate. Mi Amore gives an example for direct communication hey turn up the heater vs isn’t cold in here (indirect communication). Chapter 50 had indirect communication that is missed if you don’t know Korean tend to use indirect communication more and the mistranslations. I would ask you to go back to chapter 40. Maybe the fan translation in the raw section. Hangyum did explain and in chapter 51. It just jumped over that conversation.
Hangyum. Hang yum. If you think dirty you till not forget how to spell it.
I wished we got to see who Woojae, Haeun, Well all of them ending up with.
You mentioned many lose ends but they may or may not been part of it.
This-> You can see this when Hajin is telling Hangnyum that he never really slept with Jaehee but Hangnyum refuses to believe him. Not in the Korean story. I forgot what was said. I will ask Mi Amore.
Then at the end, they declare that they love each other, in the snow. That last few bubbles are wrong. Hangyum mentions that is the second time they seen the snow together and Hajin asked when was the first. Hangyum says it is a secret. Nothing about watching the awards and you will see.
Chapter 53 says Hajin’s company is doing good
Hangyum and Hajin if they still true to Korean culture they would be fired like the one that come out a few years ago. Hajin talks about it in aa early chapter. Let’s hope they don’t get caught.
Seoil on Twitter said the only time we see the entertainment was in the first chapter. The rest is focused on them with the past interwoven.
So It is not about the entertainment but their relationship. so some of relationships we wanted to see may not had been part of the story.
Hangyum has a his apartment, his family house, and the band apartment. Hangyum and Hajin goes to his apartment more often and his idol band mates don’t know of that apartment. Hangyum mentioned chunghoon should not knew about that place in 48? He hid that apartment away.
Also Hajin moved into that apartment with him.
So he did not move out per say. It is not unrealistic they don’t know where the apartment is.
Jaehee was with Sohyun before he went aboard.
Some of it was the English translation and she ended I think because of her health.
There are plot devices that were introduced and then never used. Like Jaehee recording Hajin in chapter 36? The fan translations group is planning to get they rest up soon. They had a few done but they had a few real-life problems. Hopefully they back on tract. I hope you will try that where some of your issues about this story. Not all.

Oh so the translation changed some parts of the story?
I honestly don’t remember some of the things you’re talking about and I reread the story yesterday so I guess it’s the translation.
Also the story says completed. Will there be more chapters?
My point with Hajin’s company is that the story focused on Hajin getting a clothing store or something, and hiring Hangnym as a model. In chapter 53 we get like a panel telling us about the store. It just feels so rushed.
Anyways I’m glad that a lot of the issues are from bad translations. I liked the art so it was a shame that the story wasn’t as good, but it’s nice knowing that the holes are not the author’s fault.
Loved the story! It’s just after the story ended I had some unanswered questions.
What happened to the previous Nux? He backed off of a roof. Did he die?
What happened to the Nux before the previous Nux? Did he voluntarily transfer his powers over? I didn’t really get that. It sounded like he had a close relationship with Jooyoung but then something happened to him that we aren’t told about.
Also, why did the Ike’s eye color go from black to blue? Maybe it’s just the art improvement haha and I’m thinking too much into it.
The director injected himself with Nux’s blood. What exactly happened to him? I know that Dooyoon can drink blood now and live nicely as a half without needed other essence, but does this mean that the director is Dooyoon’s sole source of blood? Won’t this make the director an easy target? He has special blood, and it’s not like his blood is effective only for Dooyoon.
Why did Jooyoung love Woojin(or whatever dooyoon’s father was called)?
What was the mistake that the sharp looking vampire(Jooyoung’s lover) did to Jooyoung in the past? They mentioned something like that when Jooyoung asked him to go with him. I don’t think it was only the thing with him not giving Nux’s blood.
Anyways all in all great story! It’s a shame that there’s some plot holes, but understandable because of the author’s condition. I loved the art, the improvement was amazing!! Thanks author~nim
Lol I love answering questions
1. It wasn't mentioned in the story if the previous nux died but based on jooyoung and the doctor's reaction they were shock, and it is said that the pure vampires are immortal unless they were killed or attempt suicide, and since he jumped off of the roof then he died probably
2. I think it is part of the vampire tradition of a nux to pass their powers to the new nux, and to that previous nux(the nux who disguised as jooyoung and the doctor) He was looking for someone whom he could pass his powers because he said "He failed to control the vampires" and he will resign as nux, and he was planning to make dooyon as the next nux
I'm going to post my observations in the comments just go check it hehe
