It’s kinda tiring seeing yall trying to put a moral ground or something... like what if eunyung is at fault. What if haejoon is. They’re human, they’re gonna have bad and good in them. Being an entirely good person or a bad person is rare. I prefer that rather than having flawless characters. Not all relationships need to be flowers and candies either, they wanna fight, let them fight lmao, it’s their problem. (well, they’re fictional )
I’m not sure if I got it, but you mean that while they’re fictional, they’re similar to real people, right? This is kind of what I’m saying, in real life, relationships and people are very ambiguous, you don’t really label someone as « bad » or « good » directly. That’s why I’m saying there’s no need in putting a label on haejoon & eunyung, etc, because they’re ambiguous, not perfect ^^ !
Exactly... That's what i mean... I know i am not good at explaining things( ̄∇ ̄")
But i mentioned this before... That the story just focusing on their personality... There is no good or bad character... Thats just the way they behaves... Its different from another stories... So its kinda refreshing to me
Lol yall changed your mind about helena quickly even though yall were hating her when she never did anything wrong in the first place
Rather than hate, I think I'm just annoyed. I know not everyone is built and raised the same, but I'm still annoyed that Helena just let things go to survive. Doesn't mean she's wrong tho.
Anyway, if you said negligence isn't wrong given Helena's circumstances, then Eris bullying isn't wrong too since she has to cling to the Prince as her family and the society forced her to do so. Just different ppl's survival tactic.
Society forced Eris to care about the prince only, excepted her to be perfect. Not to bully people. Nobody excepted her to hurt Helena. Bullying people isn’t a survival tactic, it was just a personal grudge, not something she was forced to do. If it was, she would’ve acted smarter. There are other ways to get rid of people.
On the other hand, society excepted Helena to stay low. Which is what she did, until the prince got interested. She can’t run away because the prince will obviously find her, she can’t speak her mind up because it might offend nobles. She has to bear with it, she’s forced to do so. It’s not like she had the power to help Eris, because it’s obvious that the prince would still hate her, he can change his attitude but not his hatred. And would Eris want her pity? No. Even so, what if she indeed could have done something? She was bullied by Eris, got locked in a dark place, beaten, and probably bullied by other people as well. Why would she need to be forgiving? Would you help your abuser?
Eris was forced to do a lot of things, but not to bully Helena. She had the power to not to. Helena was forced to do a lot of things, but not to neglige Eris. However, she didn’t have the power to do anything in the first place.
Eris is for sure pitiful (especially the one stuck in her body), but the situation now is just a result of her already bad situation becoming worse because of her own actions. She was a villainess for a reason.
I can agree with Helena part. I don't blame her. (Tho I'm still annoyed. Just my personal preference.)
But Eris on the other hand, I'll admit that the real Eris wasn't the smartest. However, she wasn't mean fundamentally. She treated her servants well and even acted tough to protect them (as we've seen from the flashback).
Her role as a prince fiance feels like a heavy responsibility that she has to fulfill. You could say that she thought it was her ultimate goal in life as a duke's daughter.
Sure, there are other ways for Eris to win the prince back, but who could blame a teenage girl not even 20 yo? She tried in her own way to get rid of what seems to be the problem, Helena. Although, I'm sure part of it was done out of spite.

Chapter 5.2, damn these bitches gay! Good for them, good for them!
