I don't like using the words "blame" or "fault," but both did wrong. Seme took advantage of the uke's first confession, didn't address the uke's drunken confession, and didn't clarify the change in the relationship, he just assumed. Then the uke didn't ask about the alleged relationship with another person, he assumed. Uke also did not leave an adequate note. A simply "bye" does not work. If he was going to official end the relationship he might as well have left an explanation. Such an unfortunate situation, but a few things could have been handled differently.
Sad he slapped NK, but he is a noble. In the time period, it would be strange if he didn't slap him for raising his voice like that, regardless of the reason.
From the beginning of this story, I dislike how the word "toxic" is being thrown around in this comment section. Then again, I dislike how carelessly "toxic" is thrown around in general. So far, seme does not fit the definition. Not saying he's not for sure, but so far."Toxic" is not interchangeable with irritating or an asshole.

I'm fine with the story ending with them working things out. There's nothing wrong with happy endings, but I'm still mad. The best ending, for me would, have been them being separated while spending some time together, putting that marriage fiasco aside and raising the kid.
In an awful situation like this, it is possible to be happy in the end, but I would not have been me.
The only way for this debacle to have a happy ending is for the ML to be separated into his constituent subatomic particles. His very existence is inimical to happy anything.
