I read this all in one day and I legit cried so hard when he passed floor 10 and when he went back over and over again to explain himself to Marcus/Sword Saint. He looked so heartbroken, having to relive and overwrite even good experiences. The panel that compared Marcus'/Sword Saint's face of trust and distrust broke me. Not only is he taking a lot of psychological damage from his skill but he seems to have realized that this new skill comes with a lot of baggage and as a "good" person, his new skill can break him and he needs to hold on. This is so good and I'm just waiting for him to gain companions because this kind of baggage feels like it is too much. My heart...

I love the uke!!! He respects himself so much. Like he loved seggs with ahjushi and was tempted but he still said no bcz it geniunely hurts. I have never ever seen a yaoi with such a scenario .like immense respect for both the characters and the writer who wrote this story. Penelope is one of the best FL I’ve ever seen. Her unforgiving and analyzing attitude, knowing when to be prideful and knowing when to beg, she’s truly such a nice change. Her character seems to surpass most novels ‘2D’ feeling y’a know? It feels so much more authentic relatable and real and my emotions are much stronger towards this novel, and I’m thriving off of her standing up for herself and Eclis. I absolutely adore this. One of the best.

I'm really unsure who to like in this story at all. Should I like the female lead, who doesn't seem to have matured a day past thirteen, because she's strong and beautiful? Should I like the emperor, who's killed people without remorse, just because he's pitiful and under immense pain? Should I like the Kayn of the present, who's portrayed far too sweetly for this story to continue this smoothly? I don't know how the story will unfold, but it makes me wonder.

Usually I prefer clean shaved guys to bearded guys but NOT ANYMORE
