I see a lot of comments about Charti leading the 5th Prince and I agree that she is at fault but only partly. Remember how the misunderstanding between the crown prince and irene hasn’t been exposed to everyone in the series. As readers we know but the characters don’t lmao so I guess that’s where our frustrations are coming from.

When you look at it Charti’s also not in the clear here. To her there’s a lot of gray area with her relationship with the crown prince. Yeah he overtly shows her affection but to her and to everyone else HE IS IRENE’S LOVER. They’re a couple. So it’s clear how she can be reserved when it comes to giving up her feelings for him. I think that’s where Cailanden(?) comes into play.

1. He’s single.
2. He’s hella nice and charming; He’s sweet to Charti.
3. He also doesn’t know that there’s nothing between the crown prince and that bitch.

From the 5th Prince’s perspective, a woman like Charti even if she were a regina, with the higher chance of being empress, is someone whom he can have feelings for freely because again..they think bitchrene is with the crown prince.

So he doesn’t really have to be reserved with his feelings. Like why was said by bitchrene in the first few chapters he can have a relationship with Charti provided they ask permission from the Crown Prince.

The crown prince has his fingers tied here atm with that bitch irene and that bitch empress so unless he finds a trump card to counter those fucktards he can’t fully claim Charti as his own.
