Why ?? Just why ? Why can't author think of something better than a damn 3rd wheel ! Be original !
And ofc an mc who I'm pretty sure won't put up a barrier or limit. Watch this getting dragged FOR NOTHING for who knows how many chapters.
I'm so mad because I really enjoyed this story until now but I can see it going downhill.

I've read the whole thing already and I can positively say that this 3rd wheel is one of the most annoying, arrogant aholes I've come across. As for how many more chapters we must suffer this insufferable instrusion into an otherwise nice and fluffy story... SPOILER
This douchebag doesn't quit until chapter 20. As there are only 28 chapters, total, the author wastes 25% of the whole story on this worthless trash.

I'm just so ... why are authors always ruining their own story with sh*t no one asked for. Just end the story if you're out of idea, don't drag it or ruin it.
Anyway THANK YOU for warning me, I'll put it on hold for a long time then (if I ever want to read it again. I'm just so done with love triangle, I reached my limit)

You're welcome! I'd advise continue reading when chapter 21 gets posted. If you pretend the 3rd wheel arc never existed it isn't so bad.
Whenever I see a series I haven't read before, I usually check out the description, categories and comments on bakaupdates first so not to get sucked into reading stories with Love Triangles and other stuff I don't like. Unfortunately, when the series is new I start reading before those annoyances show up and sometimes I have to add the categories myself after the story gets going.

Thank you ! yeah I'll try but usually I can't see the characters the same way because I think things like "why did you let it go so far ? Why didn't you put a stop ? Why didn't you act or talk damn ? Would you have accepted it if it was the other way round ?" so after a dragged on love triangle I always lose the "sparks" I could ever feel towards the pairing or story.
I usually do exactly the same ! But in this case when I started it and when I checked the raws there was no sign of love triangle so I got fooled into thinking there wouldn't be any.
It's what is happening right now with Honey Lemon Soda, the story REALLY didn't need it, and I thought it would be different and yet
*SPOILERS*
when I checked the raws for chapter 46 (we're already at chapter 46 so I thought I was safe !!!!) and here we go the love rival arc is starting and just by the reaction of the female lead I can fell it's going to be reaaaaally annoying.
Why does this happen so often ??????

I can't wait for the main couple to be back ! Really ! ..... Because maybe then the comment section won't be full of people whinning and saying exactly the same thing again and and... AGAIN. We got it jfc. You have the right to be disappointed but damn just like someone else comment instead of repeating like a sheep.
It's such a pain when it's even flooding the main page.
Drop it !! Put it on hold ! Use your oh so precious time to do something better, read something else, do something with your life, find a hobby idk.

Well I have, but it's been how long? I've just come back to this manga, cause I freakin hate when authors get to a climax to then suddenly switch to side characters and new characters for a long as time (I would have been okay with one or two chapters but really). SO imagine my surprise and utter disappointment when they still haven't gotten back to the characters I actually care about. I think as readers we have every right to voice our dissension. It's padding a story aka dragging a story. And that find a hobby comment? WTF do you think reading is? A job? no Its a fucking hobby. Some people can't put excitement on hold, especially when it's on a fucking cliff hanger. It's like getting blue balls. It's sucks and the author isn't cool for this.

Reading is a hobby I agree, but when you have the SAME people acting the SAME way every week you have to wonder if they have nothing better to do ? Finding something else because people can have more than 1 hobby.
Idk, I love reading, it's one of my hobby but when something only brings disappointment or negative feelings I just choose to do something more fulfilling than forcing myself to read it only to complain, I just drop them and maybe if I'm in the mood I'll check them up once they're finished or way later after checking the comments (just the first few ones). People acting like what happens is a bad SURPRISE when it's "spoiled" everywhere... Please.
"we have every right to voice our dissension" Yes but what's the point of repeating what has been said 2135564364 times ? It doesn't add anything to any discussion and only flood the place with negativity that some people might want to avoid. So yes you can but not if it's to say ... nothing necessary at all ? We can read we're no fishes who forget about a few seconds.
There are thousands of stories so I don't get why people insist on reading something they deem"disappointing" I just don't get it and never will.
Maybe the writer has a creativity block about the main pairing, maybe the expectations killed their hype, maybe they simply are more interested or have more ideas for their secondary characters at the moment, who knows, it's their problem and their story. But are you guys planning to stick around all year repeating the same complain if they never come back ?
This comment section reminds me way too much of the sheep movement "worse love story than Twilight" that is said even by people who never watched it just to be "cool" and follow the trend.

While I agree that it's the authors authority to tell their story, but it is also the right as a reader to voice dissension when the Author is obviously pandering. There is a line of respect an author is suppose to give to their readers. I.E not treating them like they are stupid, or being money grabbing by padding a finished story (Naruto, Harry Potter are offenders but do try to redeem themselves.) Without that respect, just write to yourself, why bother publishing it? Because you want others to read and enjoy it and people aren't enjoying it, you should take that criticism and decide if you want to change or not, not tell those criticizers to shut up, that is an author's responsibility.

Those same people complaining are just that passionate. Just like people who watch sports don't shut up when the coaches or team member f up, I don't see why readers would either, we get the same high from reading as sport watchers. There are other teams, why don't those people who are angry go to another team? Because they are already sucked into it. When a good story sucks you in, you don't just drop, especially when a stories that good, and every week you are looking for a return of that spark without giving up. It's called loyalty. And readers (Passionate ones) Are loyal to authors, characters, or just the story it's self. If it's a writer block, the author she notify people. People would be as pissy if they knew something, instead we got a major cliffy hanger and two months of characters no one cares about. You see sheep, I see reading fanatics, who take good stories (even as hobbies) Seriously. And just like you keep telling people to not complain by just not reading, you also can just not read their comments. You are being a major hypocrite.

Loyalty... Just check which users complain (and how many use anon instead of their accounts) and you'll notice that the only thing they're loyal towards are their complains.
Putting things on hold don't make you unloyal, reading is "supposed" to be fun, some people (including me) read in order to escape reality even for a short moment and enjoy this said moment, if it doesn't fulfill this and only brings you anger, disappointment (and saltiness) then you have all the right to put it on hold AND USE YOUR TIME FOR ENJOYMENT instead of spreading negativity and ruining things for others.
No one is even allowed to enjoy the story in the comments anymore.
BTW "characters no one cares about" => "characters I don't care about" it's your taste and opinion not a fact.
"You are being a major hypocrite" oh gosh this same argument again. Maybe if it was the same thing it would apply but it isn't.
Reading this story is a CHOICE, no one forced anyone to follow this story and read the update, NO ONE while seeing the comments is something forced upon us when it even appears on the main mangago page OR in other stories comments (better update than here u are, that is how you do a slow burn unlike here u are...) you can't even check the update without being fllooded by negativity even if you're not looking at it.
If the comments could be turned off or avoided and I would read it (and complain) anyway THAT would make a hypocrite which isn't the case unfortunately.
Let's face it this section is toxic, nothing less, it's full of negativity and people either uncomfortable because of it or enjoying the fun of it (which is sad in itself)

People hating on the male lead for holding a grudge and even laughing about it are... Kinda pathetic BUT lucky ! It just shows they never went through something that may seem unimportant to people but is highly traumatizing for you.
He was really young, she was his first love, his first (and pretty much only) friend, he was attached and she made him happy but he was rejected, humiliated and hurt (and his gift he worked really hard for was broken) because of a dumb game HER OWN mom is playing.
He did nothing wrong but got blamed the most. He was a baby of course he got broken and won't ever forget this event, not every kid has the Luck of having an easily swayed brain/memory.
You're all acting as if it was a little petty fight while it was way more important than that, it was the end. The fact that they lost touch after that couldn't allow him to forgive or forget.

but i think her reactions are normal for a kid around 8 years old sure she felt guilty but tell me when you were her age did you want to play with someone younger than you?
when we are kids 1 years difference is big when it comes to age so imagine 4
plus when you are 8 you prefer hanging out with people your age and make friends with them not with younger kids plus remember that boy was “trained” to call her his bride and she from the first time she saw him she didn’t want to marry him since for her to marry a toddler traumatized her if anything their mothers are at fault for this and dont the fathers and children have a say in this ??
and finally that arranged marriage actually stopped her from having a boyfriend she probably didn’t want to have one since she didn’t want to disappoint her mom but still if she didn’t want it she should have spoken up even if her mom is going to be sad but its her happiness like would you still want to marry someone you barely know and is also barely an adult and same for him if he doesn’t want this then let him speak out about it sure their mothers are going to be sad and angry about it but in the end their children’s happiness matters more no?

so?
i was just caught in a rant
everyone has their own opinion
plus that excuse is valid because it applies to both sides
she didn’t want to hang out with him and his mother told him they are going to see her later
plus in this case both are innocent and he should not hold grudges for something stupid
plus its a miracle he remembers something that happened when he was like 4
who remembers stuff that happened during that age ??

@Blackie already said pretty much what I was going to say but since you first commented on my comment I thought I had to answer.
"he shouldn't hold grudge for something stupid" just shows how privileged you can be, how can you deem what is "stupid" and what deserves to be called a "trauma" ?? I really hope you don't act that way when people go through something and are impacted by it but you think it doesn't suit YOUR definition of "important". If he thinks it's important enough to impact his whole childhood then it is IMPORTANT not stupid.
"it's a miracle he remembers" if it's something deep enough to shape who he is then yes he'll remember, just like how kids can sometimes remember awful stuff their parents could have done, even if not in detail. Some do some don't, the brain is a complicated thing and everyone reacts differently.
"tell me when you were her age did you want to play with someone younger than you?
when we are kids 1 years difference is big when it comes to age so imagine 4"
.... Huh not everyone acts this way tho, I was in a group of friends going from the 5years old to the 10 years old, I was in the middle. I was hanging out with a guy way younger than me, of course I was closer to my female friends and closer in age, but I never hurt him.
Of course our situations are different as we saw each other as friends and at most brother/sister.
But the age difference isn't an excuse. If she can admit she was the one in the wrong and that she went too far so should you.
He was giving her a birthday gift and yet as soon as she saw his face she got frustrated.
The rest of your comments has nothing to do with my comment as I blamed HER mom (especially) for everything, and his mom for not stopping her, as well as the fathers.
Her mom put her happiness first, not caring at all about the kid's.
I can't believe Toshiya's story ended like that, seriously ???

Giving him back to such unstable people ? What will happen to him when one of his parent will have a bad day ? Or when he'll dare to cry or rebel ? What if the husband lose his job again ? This kid won't ever be happy, hell he might never be able to reach his teen.
And the way the author made it sound as if abusive parents had their reasons and should be understood ... It makes me really mad. What were they trying to achieve ? Make us sympathize with them ?
Well other thant that I loved this story and characters (and their developments)
