sejin has suffered so much and even when he was abused by his adopted father he still rmb the guy as the one who saved him from freezing to death in the streets and adopted him. in a way, after all the abuse he endured and this engagement to ido (1st and 2nd life) sejin felt that it was necessary to repay the debt and that sejin owes his adopted family. ido is proactively helping sejin move forward to break away from the clutches from his adopted family bc ido knows what happened in the 1st life (sejin still doesn't) so for ido to destroy his adopted family even the way they treated him, ofc sejin would feel betrayed and doubt. much like how ido doubted sejin in the 1st life. ido is being super cryptic with his words and asking sejin repeatedly to be on his side and stay with him (basically begging sejin to give him the benefit of the doubt) but sejin doesn't know everything so it's hard to wrap his mind around it. the layers of complication stems from their 1st and 2nd lives which will be unravel pretty soon
