this is their second life and only ido remembers what happen the first time around. this time he's repenting for his past sins and how he treated/other people treated sejin. according to the novel sejin ends up remembering his first life and it hurts before it gets better

Love that Sejin can’t fully trust since it is something that bloomed just recently. So with his father’s manipulation Sejin chose his family more than Ido and betrayed him. Ido begged Sejin for an explanation but he didn’t give him one. Ido thought Sejin never really loved him so Ido start treating Sejin harshly. That was the first misunderstanding. The second misunderstanding was when Ido’s brother came by the house and saw Sejin in heat and r@ped him. Sejin run away after because he thought that Ido gifted him to his brother. When Ido found Sejin he thought Sejin and his brother were having an affair which Sejin didn’t cleared up and used it to provoke Ido.
The first timeline was full of messy misunderstandings.

He could be in the process of miscarriage, the doc is probably going to give him meds to try can prevent it but the doc thinks it's unlikely of survival because he took the pills...from my understanding of it
i just think this was a mistranslation. bc for him to be in the process of a miscarriage or had a miscarriage, he doesn't seem to have much of a reaction. & taeju just feels guilty by how he got pregnant.
