This story isnt even that bad, the fl can feel and think whatever she wants, you guys would think the same way she does if you guys where in her position
Yep, like people don't allow for any variation in female characters' personality. They want and demand for every female lead to act in the same way. This a light-hearted story with an airhead for a female lead. But no. Every female lead according to these people should be a clever badass or otherwise she's not worth any investment.
And like... allow female characters to make bad decisions?? Why must they always do the right thing or the smart thing?? Like allow them to make mistakes and grow without constantly insulting them...So intolerant...some people just want Mary Sue's to self insert into.
I disagree. I have read plenty of different stories and I always like it when there is a difference in character. But the mc decisions just makes no sense. I thought she’d stop being involved because she valued her life more than her pride but I guess not. And the second hand embarrassment is not only cringing, it’s annoying. There are stupid mistakes you can make but she is just weird and her motives it worse

She stumbles her way through the obstacles in her way, all the while being her clumsy self, and that purity is what the ML finds attractive. If all the decisions she made were sensible and insured a good outcome she'd be a different heroine and this would be a different story. Exactly my point about not allowing female leads to make mistakes without constantly criticizing them for not being smart.

The ML can read minds and she already knows his hidden secrets. He was not gonna just let her go. The rival actively wants to push her buttons so she was not gonna just leave her alone either? Nor was the cheating fiance because she was engaged to him. All of her efforts have gone into cancelling the engagement and so far? They've paid pretty well.
The second hand embarrassment would not be so bad if you all stopped self inserting. Do you also feel the second hand embarrassment from the 2nd male dude whose actually not all that smart either, or from the cheating fiance? Her embarrassment in front of the male lead is the reason he starts to trust her. Also that is exactly my point... What if she is beyond cringy and embarrassing. There are so many other isekai that have a smart and quick witted female lead?? Let there be diversity. People don't allow female characters to be dumb sometimes without filling the comment section with negativity.
'Her motives are weird '. Her motives so far - to find a love for herself who doesn't leave her for her rival, not wanting the said rival into winning the Prince's heart because that route would lead to her death, not wanting to be the cheating asshole's fiance anymore, wanting to help the prince with his tragic curse, wanting the prince to fall for her because she finds him attractive and has a crush on her. Make sense to me.
