I have never read a manga that almost immediately exposes the main villains so quickly; at least, I'm assuming they're the main villains because all of this shit is directly because of Ame no Tori. A long series waits awhile, doesn't it? How many chapters do you think this is going to be? 20? 40? . Deadman Wonderland was almost 60 (58) and the *real* villain wasn't revealed in all its glory until maybe the 40th chapter..

I like all three of the main characters, I really do. I understand the desire to protect someone and to keep them all for yourself like Nagao towards Yoshiki. To me Yoshiki's innocence is something Nagao wants to cultivate and keep since Nagao (as it is revealed currently) herself never had a childhood where she wasn't a sex object for others.
Yoshiki is only an example of many girls who either don't feel comfortable with the idea of being something desirable for men or they don't naturally feel it like other girls do, they're not particularly interested in that. Unfortunately for Yoshiki, her simple love of being androgynous and not flaunting her 'girl-ness' became locked in by her classmates and her supposed best friend. She was not allowed to drift from being a "tomboy", from being something either apathetic about gender in general (like Haruhi in Ouran High School Host Club), or queer, or simply a girl that felt comfortable with things that were stereotypically "guy" things.
Japan is still a very traditional country in practice; LGBTQAI identity isn't as exalted as the US, arguably, despite its glamorization in manga and anime.
I disagree with the idea that this is a "Fetish" manga like user echoes embodied claims. Feeling as ambiguously gendered as I am, I understood every single thing Yoshiki has felt thus far, from trying to be girlish and that first moment of "I feel pretty..?" to "I don't really think it suits me" and all that. Again, I don't have Nagao or Shu at all. They honestly could be much more antagonistic, manipulative, or devious than they are. They're not really out to hurt anybody else. They're just trying to figure out some shit with themselves as teenagers are wont to do.

On one of the pages it says it's Omega Eren x Alpha Levi..But shouldn't it say Omega Levi x Alpha Eren?

Makes sense.

Think of it like this.
Two main genders: Female and Male
But there are three subgenders: Alpha, Beta, Omega
Here are your possible combinations
Female Alpha
Male Alpha
Female Beta
Male Beta
Female Omega
Male Omega
Alpha's are considered the top of the pyramid due to their charismatic and superior ability fertility (Idk sperm donor?). Distinguished by a knot at the base of their penis that is used to ensure pregnancy.
Their most compatible partner are usually Omegas because they often to give birth to more Alphas and Omegas
Betas are the middle and the average lot. Most of the time they give birth to Betas but there are rare chances to have Omega and Alpha. Basically average fertility and your average person.
Last but not least, Omegas are considered the bottom of the social pole due to their higher ability to get pregnant (In crude terms they are breeders). They don't usually have a high rate of producing children but they can conceive better than Betas. Distinguished by their heats that happens for a week every number of months depending on the author.
That's the gist of it. The Alpha and Omega thing is more of a gender rather than who tops and who bottoms.
I hope this helps

This also might explain a little better than what I just told you.

Originally she appeared to be a conniving, manipulative thorn in Erina's side, but while she uses her cutesy side to lull people in a false sense of security (or perhaps that's simply her personality?) in order to blow them out of the water, she does appear to have a good head on her shoulders. She obviously cares about what's going to happen to Tootsuki and as far as I know she seems very aware of how toxic Azuma is. If anything he's the reason why Erina and Alice grew so distant from each other emotionally.
Aliice is more 3-D than I gave her credit for and while I'm still a bit wary of her sunny smile, the fact that she seems to genuinely enjoy Souma's company and act friendly with him is probably a sign that she's fallen in step with him as an ally at the very least.

Historically, gender roles were very very strict to the point of there being 'moral laws' against dressing up as the opposite sex as the case with Joan d'Arc. The Renaissance did see a flourishing of personal expression that did not automatically require prostration before the church, but werent there sumptuory laws that would have jailed her as violating for cutting her hair so short, least of all brand her as a heretic for doing so?

In the renaissance the church began to lose its power to the laic state so its laws also weren't absolute anymore, the state's law began to be the actual form of control of citizens. If I am not wrong, there were never formal laws against her behavior it was more a matter of moral and custom. Society wouldn't accept her to do what she did, she would be criticised and ostracised but it wasnt illegal. But a may be completely wrong. ( ̄∇ ̄")

Many women had jobs during the Renaissance. And in major cities in Italy (maybe besides Rome), women did some jobs that would be considered "mans work" in the other Western European countries. Sure, her case is a little different because art, even in Italy, was man's job. But she wouldn't be arrested for it. Just ostracize her. And her cutting her hair wouldn't result in in a trial for heresy either. Some women had short hair due to their jobs. Like how in chapter 10, some women were dying cloth, there were instances where women in France cut their hair in order for it not to get in the dye and result in dyed hair.

She writes straight relationships as well as BL ones. The characters in this manga are as charming and outrageous as in her other works, only instead of the tone being dark and seductive, it's light-hearted and happy and funny. She truly is masterful in both light and dark, gay and straight. A double-threat!! (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

It has a storybook, fairy tale like feel to it, and the art is very beautiful in its roughness. I love Teacher's devotion to Shiva, because he has probably been cursed for a very long time (I assume once you are cursed you become virtually immortal) with no friends. I wish she could touch him without being cursed! (╥﹏╥)
I sort of have no idea what's even happening ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
