I've only read the first chapter and I am LIVING. The sharp papercut style when telling the story of the Egyptian gods, the earthy color palette! This is gonna be a good story, I can tell. (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

That first story was so cute!! The seme took things slow and eased the uke into it and made sure he didn't feel pressured to do anything he didn't want to do!! ლ(´ڡ`ლ)

How can Seungho radiate such chaotic top energy like Chernobyl and not kill everyone within 50 feet.

This is supposed to be a man's introduction into D/S and S/M, and the tone sets itself up to be serious, but I don't know how much time has passed between Chapter 5 and 6. Did they try D/S in Chapter 5 and Chapter 6 is the very next day? And the seme wants to try S/M? Isn't that a little too fast for a comic that wants to explore these sorts of relationship dynamics with someone who is completely ignorant of these things? Or is this supposed to set up for us that these two like to play it fast and loose than should be normal between an established couple? I dunno, this comic gives me mixed feelings because of this lopsided narrative. ( ̄へ ̄)

I think some chapters were flashbacks .

ShonaNingyo March 25, 2020 11:59 pm

Lady Hyewon reminds me of Seungho from Painter of the Night, at least at first. Both have that "I don't care what nobody thinks, I'll cut you if you cross me" vibe.

    Omg, that's what I thought!!

ShonaNingyo February 18, 2020 8:46 pm

Gives me "early 2000s abusive boyfriend shojo" vibes, especially with the art and the behavior of the seme. I thought we were past that era of shitty story-telling. Oh well. ( ̄へ ̄)

You're right. Honestly, we can't gloss over the fact that he raped him. There are so many better plots now a day. Also, the seme never actually said sorry for what he did. Rape is never okay, and a person with a healthy mentality doesn't fall in love with their rapist, and say "it's okay you can do whatever you want with me". The writer can try to make this story cute, but it's actually very psychological, and dark. This kid is being sexually assaulted through out the whole story, and the seme is no better. I'm just stating the facts.

You're right. However, it's also a fact that this is fiction. There's also the fact that a percentage of people have rape fantasies, but that doesn't mean they condone it IRL.

    Peach February 19, 2020 2:09 pm

These people acting like they were the ones getting raped. He forgave the seme, you have no say in it whatsoever, because it didn't happen to you, the one who got raped forgave him, end of discussion. Not quantum physics, I hope the amount of brain cells you guys have can absorb that fact.

And you do know fiction is written by a person not some 2D character who forgives there rapist because of love and the power of healing. No said otherwise that this isn’t fiction, so your bull shit need to condescend any point that points out rape apology and better yet mentions because it’s certainly not tagged for future readers to know so as they don’t walk in blind to yet another romanticized rape plot they don’t wish upon them selves, fantasize, or lastly condone is just another excuse to silence those who don’t hold the opinion that rape is sexy even when fictional as you clearly do. Haha I love that Peach has bloke me. Yes enjoy your rape plot in your echo chamber no one gives a shit. I give a shit that this plot can’t even be tagged properly and everyone reading it is falsely and purposely romanticizing a main character that’s been sexual assaulted by his love interest and every other male character for actual people who don’t enjoy this nonsense.

I agree with you that all manga should be tagged appropriately. It's important not just for selecting preferences, but also to serve as TW for people.

For the points about rape, I think it best to just agree to disagree on this point as obviously you have your own opinions and beliefs that contrast mine.

I've always been weirded out and morbidly fascinated by this author, and I never knew what the real message was in his comics, but from the first chapter alone I got the satire right away. Or maybe it's just really blatant. Either way, it's entertaining.

ShonaNingyo December 22, 2019 6:05 am

How do you just up and "forget" about someone's regenerative abilities?

ShonaNingyo November 16, 2019 4:49 am

I would love it if it dialed back on the comedy and just went straight for the psychological horror. The author has a great art style and I want to see how the story could turn out if they just leaned more heavily on the dark atmosphere and threatening nature of the male protagonist.

ShonaNingyo November 10, 2019 7:01 am

Art style reminds me of Asumiko Nakamura. It's pretty. (▰˘◡˘▰)
