Finally someone who understands their dynamics. IMO they both know their relationship is toxic but like what you said, all those sacrifices will feel worthless that's why they're procrastinating. It's as if they're waiting who will raise the white flag first. I've seen many toxic relationships like this and it's always easy for us outsiders to say "omg just break up!!" but it's easier said than done. I love how realistic the author portrayed this. im pretty sure shes a lesbian but her father forced her to get married and have a kid so she'd "be normal", which is why the father said "you still dont react even after you got married and had a baby?". the dad is homophobic and believes that being gay is a choice so once his daughter got married to a man she'd stop being gay (which is complete bullshit). the reason why shes neglecting her kid is probably because she was forced to have it so she doesnt feel any connection to them. i still think shes a shitty person but her background is rlly sad bc sadly, a lot of queer people in real life have to deal with similar shit and it fucking sucks
