All I saw was torture and abuse. The emperor torment uke both mentally and physically. Uke fell into deep despair, broken and wishing for death. Uke wasn't even allow to die. Poor thing. The kind physican try to help by stopping treatment & replaced it with numbing cream to let uke die without pain but was discovered had his fingers chopped off by the emperor. The emperor seems to have no emotion and is very cruel. How did uke remain sane after all these? Why did he not kill himself to end his misery after he got his sword back.. He could also choose to run away..
This may not be a popular comment. I find the saintess is annoying at times. She may think she is helping people but she is simply being selfish by putting other people in danger by doing whatever she wants without thinking. As long as, it satisfy her it is justified for her regardless disrupting the soldiers plan or others safety.
I can't helped but feel sorry for the girl. Giving her first of everything to a dick that has been fooling around.He don't deserve it even though, he is rich and supposingly a good looking man in the story. Since the girl not into money and also didn't know him as a person. The only thing I can think of is that she is attracted to how he looks despite, his bad character. That is so superficial.

She is too innocent that is why she fell for someone like him. People who have some experience in relationship and wanted a real and meaningful relationship would avoid him like a plague. Gold digger would be a different story.
I have not dive into the story yet. Are they genuinely in love with each other? Or the ML is just in for the lust and not serious about the relationship whereas, FL is with ML due to financial difficulty?
