Here is why I think so:

Ok, so Suu and Nadan did have a romantic relationship at some point. Or a purely physical one. But judging by how Nadan acts now he is either in a relationship with someone else or the fact that Suu is a freeman while he is still a slave bothers him.
And I don't get him. Think about it! If you were a slave and your ex was working his ass of to buy your freedom wouldn't the logical action be to at least be nice to him?
