No, I get that. This chapter made me cry because I am absolutely sure that his son went off to die but I mean I don't think that a character which has such great importance to the plot is going to perish early or soon rather. So I think this guy is the anomaly and it's probably going to be attested to his eating of alphas. (Sorry that my original comment was unclear, hope this was better. Sometimes I'm bad at explaining things.)

However, the plot's snake children are not important on balance.
The real protagonists are the wolf and the rabbit, then there are the secondary characters like the snake and all the others.
The son of the snake I do not know if we can consider an anomaly, in this chapter in the end we were simply explained something important using as a reference the half-bloods or beta.
The rabbit is the anomaly not the snake's son. Snake's son is painfully average.
And I'd have to disagree with you I think the Snake, the bunny, and the wolf are all main characters. If it were still like the first chapter then I'd probably agree but more recent chapters emphasized the snake and wolf's relashonship AND the this started when the rabbit got jealous.
Well at this point we need to see the next chapters.
Seeing how easy it was for the author to turn the manga into a tragedy with just one chapter, it could also be.
But it must be said that if there really is a soul mate in this manga it cannot be the snake for the wolf.
The wolf only reacts to the rabbit if you have noticed, so I see it difficult for the author to transform their relationship.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm very thankful they haven't kissed or anything. Considering their situation, even if the Director is truly in love with Craig, he is still in a position of power. He could kill him at any time and Craig is painfully aware of that. If the Director tried anything, Craig most likely would think that having sex and doing whatever else the Director wanted is something he has to do if he wants to live. That's a terrible starting point for a relationship. ┗( T﹏T )┛
