You something that’s been on my mind for some time while reading BLs, is the whole who tops who bottoms nonsense. Why is it that majority of BLs would make a gay man that has always been a top suddenly switch to an uke because a new top/love interest is in the picture?
I mean why can’t there be a compromise and they both be switch? It never made sense to me how at first you see a top now made an uke and you could see majority of the time they take time to actually get into being on the receiving end. I mean is it so taboo to make them a switch and also satisfy the other people’s sexual needs?
Anyway, just my take on the whole thing coz I never really understood why that can’t be an option.

I think it’s because writers prefer to have a specific dynamic set for their characters. I imagine that in real life they might compromise but this is fiction so oh well. Plus from what I remember the white haired guy just doesn’t seem comfortable with the idea of bottoming and the MC, despite being a top, doesn’t mind bottoming for his bf.

It is clear that there’s a lot of POVs that are missing in between the story, so we can’t really just sit here and judge Saysa and think that he didn’t really think of Karel the whole time he was pursuing his dream. I can say that Saysa loves Karel even thou his love was dependent the same way Karel’s love was obsessive. I mean their love story is not perfect but it’s definitely realistic, unlike some of the mediocre BLs we’ve been getting that romantisize rape.
