It's more like his power made him see only skeletons, so when he didn't have them and looked on Teruhashi, he understood why people thinks she is so pretty. It was even said on the one of the episodes that he don't like dogs neither cats, because they are just bunch of bones for him. I'm only angry at author that he leave open ending, because we didn't saw who end up with who...

Jeez, just because it doesn't have "romance" tag doesn't mean that there won't be any, romance just isn't the main thread, for example One Piece, Naruto and many more aren't about romance, but have it in the plot

Well... I watched the anime and read the manga...even though sometimes the author tries to shove the teruxsaiki ship down our throats...at the end there is not a confirmed ship. At least not in both the manga and anime, not sure if the author ever said anything about it. Personally I'd much rather Saiki to be alone than to be with teruhashi but anyways saikixcoffeejelly is best ship (づ￣ ³￣)づ
