This is what happens when you start a relationship prior to healing yourself properly. Trauma works in a curious way, you can't explain it, you can't reason with it, drives you to think or do this irrationally, all you can do is just feel it strongly. And it made worse because MC was too guarded, keeping the secrets of his trauma so people around him couldn't mitigate the possibly of misunderstanding or risk to trigger the trauma. It's relatable tbh.

While ML, well he's manipulative from the start so it is hard to trust the things he says or do at this point in MC's eyes. He just gotta suck it up, make it up, and do his best to persuade MC into talking things seriously, openly and without assumptions.

Then they can both go to therapies because it's obvious both carries their own baggages to let go. Gotta love when one of the couple runs away and the other chasing obsessively tho ahahaha

It seems the second prince is stuck in the past due to the trauma and guilt which wasn't at all his fault, a heart too gentle and loyal, yet still cursed with the greedy blood running in his veins. So pitiful that these two fell in love and both are stuck in the past, and find solace in the world which made them lonely and persecuted.

And it seems, that both the first and the second princes are what was the founding emperor split into two, and destiny is trying to repeat the tragedy which started the curse, unless one of the descendant repent. Of course the third prince Karnan will be the connection the both pitiful main characters need to reach it, but is he the line or is he actually THE leverage, considering he is a royal with illegitimate line?
