Finished the novel and honestly the Top is relatively decent. Yes he's lowkey giving predator with the way he's so hyper focused on how "cute/young/innocent" our MC is but as far as red flag behaviour he is in the clear ┑(￣o ￣)┍ he treats the MC well, thinks of how to support his family and helps him get back to education. Not to mention he doesn’t do any of the hardcore "SM" stuff to him because he sees him as a "precious person" aka he's head over heels

THIS is how you do the psychological genre. Honestly gotta give huge praise to the author because they understand how good storytelling works and what sorts of triggers to use and how to execute it all through their artwork.
