i thought jeanette was gonna be a cool character in the beginning, but her selfishness is not it. Did she really not understand why Athy couldn't greet her in that scene? Like obviously read the room and realize that there is a huge, tense power struggle going on and it isn't because Athy doesn't like you. Not everything is about you Jeanette

I think she's reacting just like any child who's being lied to by everybody would react. Pissed off. What she supposed to do?? What would you do? Nobody telling you straight story. Your daddy isn't who they say your daddy was. This dude comes into your life and he's pulling some Shady trick. Your homegirl didn't even tell you the whole thing. You don't know who's on your side and you don't know why did lying to you. They might have a good reason, but you don't know that. Everybody's acting as if Jeanette was supposed to be psychic or something. Jeanette never read the book. She wasn't the one that was reincarnated. She said acting selfish. She's trying to protect herself because everybody else is acting crazy and not giving her straight answer

Exactly she is literally a kid. You know what kids should be doing at her age? Rebelling! Questioning Authority! Running away from toxic people. Learning who toxic people are. But most importantly, teenage rebellion is so important. She's just a little kid. She should be burning about playing with dolls and start talking back to Authority. I'm telling you, I would be so snarky. But then again, everyone has to act like a proper lady. Just feels like as if they're all prisoners of decorum and societal politeness. Epic flipping tables if it was me

everything you just said is not jeanette at all. is she a little kid or a teen rebelling? please choose one.
she’s already been told the whole story. she knows everything except what athy and her dad know. she’s demanding secrets when she knows damn well she couldn’t tell her own.
she just refuses to see anything that doesn’t involve her. not everything has to be about her, and she just doesn’t realize this.
she’s super hypocritical and doesn’t even try to see someone else’s point of view unless she’s in their thoughts.
i mean she defended the man (she knows is lying and sketchy) that started this stupid power struggle
and if you say “well she doesn’t know, she’s a kid” then she’s just plain ignorant. every other noble child would be able to notice a power struggle happening during that time.
jeanette can’t see anything except for her desire of a family and her hypocrisy, ignorance, and selfishness is hurting everyone around her.

But I was three years old, I used to hold temper tantrum in the supermarket if I didn't get my favorite cereal. I was an impossible toddler. I don't know what kind of kids you hang out with. But I babysat before. Toddlers are not easy. They're too young to pay attention longer than a commercial and they're too old to stick in a crib. They are fast and they love being able to kick and hit things by accident. She is 15. She is pretty chill and sad for a 15 year old girl. You know what the average 15 year old girl would be doing? I mean besides hurting peoples feelings and being really Savage when it comes to the sarcasm; they would start listening to loud music, pretend they can't hear their parents or stay in the room and play video games. And that's just some of the fun things to do that an average 15 year old would do. But they don't have none of that.

okay but they’re not even in the modern world. they’re nobles in a time with emperors and magic. knowing the way of a nobles life is something every kid there learns. jeanette should know enough to acknowledge she’s hurting people by being ignorant of everything that doesn’t lead to her getting a family

Hey! I don't need to be called a derogatory mean by a one here! She is 15, and last time I checked you don't go messing around with 15 year old kids. They are still kids. What? You already got a job and a baby by 15 years old? She's already paying taxes? She's got a job? She's voting? She has say over her own life? You Don't Know Her! You barely had a peek into her life. She's just a 15 year old kid. Nobody's ever said, well that's a 15 year-old adult! If you're still wearing a training bra and can't vote and she's never been to war and you're still wearing a training bra and play with dolls. You're still a kid!

You seem to think kids just needs to rebel and play. You think they can't mature unless they're already 18 and working or something? Get out of your bubble. And what did u mean, girls with common sense would not be on this site? Curious.
Anyway, Jeanette at this age, a noble and raised by a duke surely received a lot of education. Especially about royalty and etiquette. Knowing what situation is, with the emperor cursed and her fake dad worming himself in power and athy whom she consider as her sister is obviously struggling, the least she should do is worry why the princess didn't greet her. And the reason? She's a kid who should be rebelling? She's 15, my goodness!

I don't really know what this means either... people (not just 15 yr olds btw) are on this site because they are broke and they like reading webtoons/manga???? Also like the previous commenter said, she's 15 and already has an understanding of how the world works. I get she's in a bad placel but she's letting her emotions and desire for a family literally cloud her judgement about everything which is rly annoying.

Okay you got a point about that greeting thing. But she's also extremely sensitive. you ever met that one girl that gets really hurt when you forget to say hello to her, or you ignored her, then she's thinking that you're mad at her? Or she gets mad at you thinking you're ignoring her? Or she starts crying for what doesn't seem like a big deal but you still got to comfort her? Are you saying there's no one like that in your life? Cuz I can pull up a few. Being Sensitive is not a bad thing. It just means that when people call someone names, it hurts a lot more, Also a 15 year old kid that's confused and lost and not been told the truth. Maybe she's thinking about herself because nobody else seems to. Every other character seems to forget she's there.

That's what I mean. You're a lot of 15 year olds who are broke, because who's got a job at 15? A lot of places don't let you work until you're 16. So sometimes you just got to deal with it with babysitting and that doesn't pay much. And then of course their parents to give allowances for no reason. I never understood that. My family was more like, you got to work for it. But that's normal when you're 15. Also this reminder has a lot of 15 year olds who want to escape with your fantasy world, that's why a lot of stories have 15 or 16 year old girls going on adventures because they're there being seen and they're treated as an adult. I'm fine with that. However, when there's a character that is a fifteen-year-old girl, who's in a bad place and having her emotions and take over and desire for stability, and people get mad. That's like being mad I didn't average 15 year old. Who doesn't want to think about how they feel when she places herself first when no one else seems to? She doesn't know what's going on in the story. She knows people been lying to her and she's been a lot more polite than I have, not calling it out. She's being a 15 year old kid and doesn't deserve people criticizing and bagging on her. She's just a kid. She's not a soldier in war. She's a little princess. That's not a bad thing, but don't expect her to be an adult like the main character is. The main character is an adult and a child body. She isn't

here the funny thing, in this "fictional" world of nobility girls at the age of 15 get married and have children by now. especially noble families, imagine her having a baby and cry herself someone does not care about her cause her baby is crying, yeas cause that her common sense ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ oh please give us a break, Jeane is worse than a 3 years child while girls her age already married off and have kids.

Every other Nobles child? Every other Noble child has hardly been seen and have been acting like children. Remember the Tea Party? They have to just like teenage girls. Nobody there was talking about politics or the welfare of the state or the emperor's lineage . They were talking about who's cute and about fashion and dresses and who's cute. The only one that's not acting like children is her adoptive brother, sort of? And the main character. And the main character is not a child. She is a grown woman inside the body of a kid. The main character should be in her thirties by now inside her brain. She just appears to have the body of a 15 year old. Remember, she was 20 years old when she was reincarnated into a baby. So that would make her 35. How could you compare a 35 year old woman inside the body of a child to an actual 15 year old girl?

i understand what your saying but I'm not saying Jeanette should have a job/provide for herself/take on responsibililties. I just wish she could see the situation logically and see the bigger picture which a 15 year old is very capable of doing. Regarding her emotional trauma, I just dont get why she's being upset at Athy instead of Duke Alpheus who was the one who was clearly hiding the fact her dad was in the house the whole time. She's easily siding with suspicious people and never questioning their really shady decisions and just allowing herself to be influenced by their words. That's what rly ticks me off the most.

also sidenote if we are talking about responsibilities we gotta understand that this is a different society from ours. Like Athy, I'm assuming 14 is the age when girls debut in society. Debutting in society back then meant girls looking for partners seriously. People in general just grew up faster and took on more responsibilities.

Of course she was much older than Jeanette when she was reincarnated. She was in her twenties. She was working as a clerk at a store. She died by accidentally taking too many sleeping pills. How many 15 year olds get their hands on sleeping pills and works full-time at a store and her own apartment? She was a full grown adult when she was reincarnated into a baby. She also had college classes. She was an adult, and very grown. She was living alone and had a job and had the capability of getting prescription strength sleeping pills. If she was an exception at 15 years old, living on her own. The book and the manga would have accentuated on that. So she's very much over 30 years old. And even if she was 15 when she was reincarnated. That means that her brain was 15 years old, and she was growing another 15 years after that. Which means her and The Wizard kid, are the same age mentally. They're both grown adults in the bodies of children. The wizard guy of course is probably 200 or 300 years old. But I think as long as you're over 21 years old when you become reincarnated, then you're copacetic in Romancing 300 year-old Wizards.

Yes the MC is much older then 15, when she was reincarnated. She was working at a store when her customers left the novel behind. That night she went home to her apartment, went to bed reading the book, and probably died from taking too many prescription sleeping pills. So basically the only adult that are inside the body of children are her and The Wizard. Since I'm guessing that she was probably around her twenties when she passed away, and The Wizard is probably around 300 years old. That may be the reason why, they would make a great match. I guess that if she was around her twenties what she reincarnated and is now around 15, she would probably be in her 30s, which I think it just makes it copacetic for her to date the wizard guy. Since he's probably around 300 years old.

Sure she’s So FUckinG SenSiTIvE but can’t she ignore her feelings for once she’s being too selfish and just think about herself she didn’t even care about her Athy’s feeling and just turn her down. Athy is explaining as much as she could so she wouldn’t hurt Jeanette but Jeanette is just over there thinking about such a small thing I mean can’t you ignore you sensitivity first and think of others too?

Okay so what’s exactly your point? I mean she’s not in a bad place they’re not even starving her and she has a nice place to eat and live and yes she was basically isolated but bruh why didn’t she even rebelled? She literally just let other’s command her and she’s a 15 year old for god’s sake she could've learn something while living there right? It never depends on the place it depends on the people even if you read real documentaries it really doesn’t matter how you were living it’s base on the poeple. And yes she’s being taken over by her desire but isn’t time to grow up and fucking put other first other than yourself she’s being selfish more than anyone but your still calling her nice? And saying she’s a child and it’s Athy’s advantage because she’s adult inside when even Jeanette who is a teenager still thinks like a baby and can’t even wake herself up from her SwEEt LIttle DReAmS like wtf is wrong with her and yes she doesn’t know about the book and no one is telling her about anything but Athy also didn’t know what happened after the story ended she just used her brained unlike someone who can’t just fucking stay put and ignore her emotion first even if I was in that story and don’t know what’s happening.. Yes I would feel nervous and anxious but still think of other's first and jusst stay put and wait considering I’m probably useless and I thought she was being nice she’s not even thinking of other people’s feelings isn’t it competely her fault for getting this much hate?

Bitch Claude is literally dying and being accused of using black magic and then Athy is too pressured about everything right now and then there’s her fucking father. So can’t she just deal with her emotions first and don’t be a burden to anyone she’s being so selfish just bacause she wants to know the truth when Athy didn’t say too much things and didn’t told her the whole truth she should have notice sa that it isn’t right to bother Athy’s secrets and affair but she didn’t right? She even took her father side I thought they were sister isn’t it right to trust your so called sister rather than a man who just shows up and reveals himself as your father?

I don't expect her to act like an adult. I understand what you said about her being too emotional and out of place. My point is, she's already 15. Atleast at that age, she should already know how to think and observe, you don't have to be an adult to do that. I think it's the difference with how we view or think how.an adult or kid should act. For me, the age 15 is the age where you start to transition from a kid to an adult. Where you start to ask question, not believe what everyone around you says. Also, they're in a different world, where there is nobility, politics and wars.
I just hope there is a character development here. I read some of what happened in the novel, and maybe that's why I'm biased. I didn't like the jeannette there but atleast the jeanette here is somewhat tolerable.

This is literally one of the best age-gap mangas out there! Alot of the ones I've read have this weird power dynamic between the guy and the girl (when the guy is like ten - fifteen years older and the girl is usually a minor) and it's kinda uncomfortable. Haruhi is cute but still mature enough which makes their relationship so natural and great! 10/10
I miss aki so much. i wish he came back although I know it's never happening :((((. also i want to see more of yoshida and kishibe (my two favs) in the next arc. Maybe yoshida and denji will go to the same high school. I just love the fact that there's gonna be a school arc and I can't wait to see Denji and nayuta' relationship. Power is also def. coming back I 100% manifesting it rn.
