-Yan Gui, Emperor of Ming Guo: Known as the God of War, Yan stepped into the seat of Emperor following a thwarted attempted coup by Prince Anle. Now he wields politics in his harem and his country and deals with the machinations of those with their eyes on his throne.
The story was enjoyable with its balance of harem political shenanigans, character romance, magical curses, and the shadow of a looming war. There were some unexpected moments, but on the whole the story followed a comfortably expected trajectory. Let down a bit by a rather rushed final chapter, but overall still enjoyable.

Is it only me?
Yes. Great stories, whether film or book or manga leave me with a little heartache that I have to leave the characters or the world. I am happy to reach the end (I always worry that it’s so good, how awful it will be if the author will drag it on and ruin it). But it can be difficult to leave behind.

Go for some acupuncture for long term relief of chronic pain. Or massage. Cold pack for the headache, heat pack for the aches and pains. Dark room for the headache, minimal sounds, and talk to your doctor. Chamomile tea is a relaxing thing, give that a whirl too. Try not to let any dr get you hooked on opioids. That crap will ruin your life worse ......
