If I’m being very honest with you I’m looking for reasons to dislike Jeannette but I honestly can’t find one. She’s acting like her age, she’s been nothing but kind to Athy, in fact she loves Athy to the point she doesn’t want to share her, that’s how I feel about my best friends.

I ca give you reasons to dislike
Jeannette: Ignorance and naivety. Her ignorance stemming from her not knowing the mc feels replaced because of her constant interaction with the emperor( Her low EQ). Her naivety thinking that everything will go well and everybody will be the same (happy) even though the mc is experiencing such a difficult situation.

You just described to me a normal child/ teenager which is what she falls under. You don’t like a child for being a child?! Tf? How is someone her age supposed to know better? Children/Teenagers are selfish and believe the world revolves around them, they don’t know the evils of the world and they shouldn’t know what true suffering is. Your point is invalid, I’m 20, I’m not gonna dislike a child for having a childish nature.

Yes but a child is still able to see when someone is hurting. As hard as it might be to belive, children are actually quite sensitive- especially in their development stages. And as a growing teen Jeanette should be becoming more aware of the emotions and feelings of those around her. Ejikiel (I think that's his name?) is very aware and sensitive towards every one's feelings around him, despite being two years older. They lived in the same roof and were brought up similarly enough that if she wanted to Jeanette could've learnt something form him but instead she allowed herself to be coddled until she struggled to be her own person. As nice as she is Jeanette has no other reedeming quality other than her kindness. She's oblivious, far too trusting, selfish, unable to think for herself and weak willed- at this point she's more of a deadweight than anything. Jeanette's nativity is the product of her own close mindedness. She's so wrapped up in the fantasy of reuniting with her dad that she's thrown all logic away. If her father loved her, why did he never search for her? Why did she have to hide who she was up till now? How come her mother ran away form him? A little bit of thought would've given her the thought/idea that her 'father' didn't care and still doesn't care for her, it would've allowed her to question things and those around her- maybe even spur her to investigate. If my long lost father called me up for tea yet always fell asleep before we uttered a single word then that's not a win for me. I'd feel awkward and like I've been dusted aside. The answers that I'm looking for as well as the questions I want to ask are being surpressed (un)intentionally. Also idk what u mean that's she is a child. Jeanette is NOT a child, maybe by law, but not in terms of mentality, emotions and physical body. She has passed the point where she can now tell right from wrong, the point where she can tell when someone is in pain or full of joy without them having to say so verbally. Her extremely low EQ is so annoying because it's the only excuse she can come up with for her ignorant and selfish behaviour.

You ppl need to stop putting your standards on other ppl, there is literally no “buts” it doesn’t matter what “YOU” would do because she is a kid and she’s not you. Also there’s no one type of kid and I’m sorry everyone acting so righteous rn is a liar to me. A kid that all she’s ever wanted was a real father or kids that seek approval your telling me you wouldn’t be happy to finally be in your fathers presence? Come off it, all of you are capping now. And her EQ is not fucking low everyone needs to stop saying that. She. Is. A. Kid. Her brother is a genius and Athy is someone that has already seen her future. All I’m seeing is typical ‘Judge a character TOO HARD like we’d be any better in these type of situations but we wouldn’t. Lemme judge these characters profusely hard even though I’m an reader that see’s everything and has a whole view of the situation (WHICH by the way the characters don’t have)’ you lot make me sick with the naivety you show when judging these characters.

How do you expect a kid, to talk out of context with a king? Did you know there are procedures in conversing with someone of the royal family. Also this king is known for his ruthlessness. Would you, knowing what you know about the king as someone that used to kill his subjects without blinking an eye also just the fact that you are a child talking to a KING, mention Athy OUT OF TURN (for those that don’t know what out of turn is, it is when you say something that you have not been asked about. You can’t do that to a royal, especially if you have no status) also knowing he wants to kill Athy so she is a touchy subject, just bring her up like that?? Loooool. Do none of you reading this manga hold no skills in how to analyse a situation by taking yourself OUT of the shoes of someone that can see everything from a readers perspective? We can see their thoughts for goodness sake, these characters can’t see that.

I don’t need to be a genius to be able to tell when my friend is feeling uncomfortable- in fact most children can tell. You can say that Jeanette might be a special case but there’s a level of oblivious you can be before you just come off as willingly ignorant. The whole premise for the hate towards Jeanette is due to her inconsiderate nature towards Athy’s feelings. Its the fact that she’s creating a paradox on herself. She sees Athy as her sister and her family and yet not once has she asked to see how she’s fairing, instead she’s happy to have her fathers love and attention while just having her ‘sister’ there is good enough to fulfil her image of a happy family. Are you actually going to argue that at 14 you aren’t able to tell when someone is upset or in emotional pain? It’s not like Athy is even trying to hide her feelings, if you believe that people saying how Jeannette is in the wrong are liars then go ahead. It’s your opinion but it doesn’t change the fact that what they are saying has some truth. Jeanette is selfish, and hating her for that human flaw might be slightly unfair but at the end of the day we are allowed to feel as we want. It’s not like our reason for our dislike is baseless nor completely wrong, it’s just that you feel the need to attack our views because in your head Jeanette can do no wrong because she is a child and has been ‘neglected’ by those around her. At the end of the day, I will still keep my negative views on Jeanette until I see a considerable change in her actions and behaviour regarding this matter. If I make you sick then go barf in a toilet or something.

Wait wait this is bad for my heart, don’t do this to me, I accepted that this manhua was being dropped and here you are getting my hopes up with another update. IS IT BEING DROPPED OR NOT DAMMIT?!

Wait, what? I've been really confused about this. The novel was said to have been dropped weeks ago and all the chapters were deleted, but not too long ago all of the chapters had been re-uploaded with two additional chapters, but it hasn't updates since, and that was on January 18th...I'm really confused, has the english translation of the novel been dropped for good?

I don’t even blame the Uke for self sabotaging, that admitting your the one that likes someone more is a very hard pill to swallow and if you’ve been hurt before that way it makes you soooo scared to be in that position. Can’t even fault his actions, because I know I would do the same, my man has to like me more or I’m not budging call it what u will I call it self preservation.
I’m trying to figure out Suu’s personality type any takers from anyone? My guess is that he is an INTJ. Tactical, has incredible intuition, is an introvert, thinks ahead to the point he clearly puts thinking over feeling. Finally he’s absolutely Judging, his judgements are very sound too.
I'm an INTJ, and I think you're right. He's a mastermind. :)
Deep down, as the consort said, Suu is motivated by love. His pursuit of money was to make a safe place for him and Nadan. But his motivation was love. He knew Nadan had a bounty on him because of his father and that they'd never be safe in Rahan. Suu would die as well if he was caught aiding Nadan.
So he wanted to help the consort so he could amass a fortune and status high enough to cross the border out of Rahan without questions. He was trying to get Nadan to safety, away from where Nadan could be executed if his family background was discovered.
Suu did whatever he felt was needed (even if it cost other people their life) to get Nadan out. Unfortunately he got caught up in the goal and never stopped to think of the person he wanted to save. Or whether they wanted to be saved no matter the cost.
But Suu's personality is not motivated by greed, but by love. That's his true nature.
Everyone is greedy. Su wants power, and who can blame him. He is being played like a ping-pong ball by Jin and, in some respects, by the dragon. The more I read about Jin, the more I dislike his ways. I gues he can't really help it, either, with all the glimpses the author has given us about his past. But he seems th emost conflicted of all th echaracters and seems to have a part in why things are so difficult.
