what's frustrating to me is that some of you think it's appropriate to discuss private intimate matters with strangers, even worse with people from work. are yall like 15??

If you are blatantly getting hit on then I think that saying one is in a relationship is appropriate. You don't have to say who, what or why.

saying "i have a lover" to someone who is hitting on you is not the same as telling someone details about your sex life or something.... "private intimate matters"... its a relationship status dfjgdsf ppl display that shit on facebook lmao

I am free to give my opinion, and neither opinion is wrong, but you shouldn't say to people that they are dumb just because they have a different opinion than yours. Yanagi point blank asked him of he was in a relationship, and he had an ambiguous reply.

As you said, he doesn't have to say shit to the intern, but he could've have given him a more concrete answer, than I have a kid that I want to concentrate on.

And based on my personal experience, if the guy is decent, if you are clear cut enough with your answer regarding your relationship status or your stance with relationships, they would leave you well enough alone.

By all means I am not undermining that he wants to concentrate on his child but he shouldn't use that as a reason either. He could have just said no thanks and period. And I know a lot of people who are in a relationship with other people that have kids. Divorced or not married or had thier kids young. Its really not a deterent on having relationships, so maybe thats why for me its really that much big of a deal if a person have kids or not if they want a relationship.

And about the talk about the career thing, I would never go to a bar alone with a guy to talk about my career, its either a cafeteria or a cafe. Personal opinion, I dont drink alcohol when trying to ask my superior about what should I do next or how can I go about somethings, after all I dont want to be drunk when asking for feedback on my work. But the culture is different so I dont know.

And as for him not meeting the guy at grinder or whatever, he was already getting hit on and asked if he was in a relationship. Most sexual assault cases are from the people that know the victim because of access and feeling of familiarity.
