Yeah that's his 20 year old self, I'm talking about before the first time he lost his memories and regressed to 20. He was courteous with everyone else but very cold to mc while calling him everyday. Like think chapter 1 and 2.
My guess is that he fell in love with MC at first sight but with all the trauma he went through he might of thought Mc would be safer if they didn’t have a love based relationship. So he purposely acted cold towards MC so that their relationship would stay professional. I’m assuming he called MC very often because he liked him so much that he wanted to see him almost everyday. I guess that was his way of holding back.

He didn't want MC to get hurt because of him. That's why he wanted to undo the imprinting too. He was content (well yes and no) with suffering through his massive unrequited crush on MC to his grave until his 20yo self revealed his secret and showed so much love that MC fell in love with him too lol.
Current ML is still holding back but has decided he wants to stay with MC and MC has also shown that he will accept him no matter what. That's why he's less cautious and more open with his feelings.

I think imprinting ties their fate together so if one of them dies the other one will get so devastated or something. Or it stops them from getting guided by another person if one of them dies?
