Err from what i can tell, she definitly means more to him than someone he can just fuck. Shexs not just someone random, they knew each other before the Empress came along so I can only assume that something happed between them to make him love and trust her so much. Yeah but thats all we've seen her do, they have a past together we haven't seen. So you can't really assume thats all she did to get in his heart.
