I’m screaming, finished season 1 only to found out in the comment it haven’t been updated in a year?! WHO SENT ME THERE
This story is so good actually. It has such an interesting plot even tho it’s using the time travel code that is similar to isekai one. This reminded me a lot of Captive prince, in term of approach!! It’s developing slowly but healthily! It isn’t too slow either, I love it. It’s keeping us entertained and interested. Have a lot of potential… if only it had update sniff
Louison is so precious as well and not cringe at all, very well written character with depth and comedy isn’t forced imo

I personally loved it with this ending. Like with a lot of thought behind ofc. I have a lot to say about it. (I REALLY wasn’t expecting myself to write this much but oh well may as well share to whoever wants to read)
At first we should mention the original idea of magical boy, I think that’s not something we see a lot, also keeping the idea smutty with the dildo being the magical wand lol.
It’s a happy ending in all POV for me. Chiwoo got to live the life he always deserved, happy and surrounded by love and the people he loves. Without all the SA, traumatic rape scene and suffering he got from Hwan, the loss, despair he felt with loosing his parents.
Hwan suffered from loosing Chiwoo, understood how toxic he was (loving Chiwoo so much but taking everything from him, Jin, friends, “freedom”) not accepting the confession bc he didn’t want to loose him AND wanting to become a better man for Chiwoo. Bc he wasn’t deserving of him yet, and gave himself a chance to change for the love of his life. He gave their relationship another chance but not without changes and that’s beautiful to me. The fact that Hwan got his redemption by suffering, changing and turning into a green flag actually.
Jin got reincarnated, happy ending for this innocent man in this whole story. He was genuinely trying not to do anything bad. (Also he is just so pretty and handsome)
I thought for a second a Sunny became a dog in his reincarnation bc they were such good friend lol
Now, I also think that’s not really fair Hwan got to keep the memory but not Chiwoo, it’s like not knowing what an asshole Hwan was and he get to get away with it by playing nice guy now.
This story line that is quite developed but also not enough? We know about Sunny and Moony being “rival” and have endless contractor to end the other but we don’t know why. That would have been interesting for the story to have more depth. At the end we don’t even know exactly why and how Sunny was released so quickly from being sealed? And why did Chiwoo died? How was he lacking and was it what he wanted? Not sure.
I almost forgot how disgusted I was by how the author portrayed the smut scenes with the monsters, how traumatic is it, I really almost stopped reading it bc it was just author using Chiwoo as an object to draw smut with all kind of context and not a care for the plot, like no trauma given he never had sex? What about his virginity taken? That’s the only part the ending couldn’t cover for me
So here I’m rambling a bit more about stuff :
I think this story got people divided in opinion. I think this was very well written if we talk about emotion of characters especially in the later part/ending. Chiwoo felt like he was destroying Hwan and distanced himself for both of their mental health, and while we may feel this urge of wanting a happy ending no matter what, if we had this in reality, what he did was very healthy.
He knew he couldn’t do anything to “straighten” their relationship, not while Hwan was acting this obsessed and desperate with Chiwoo. Maybe I see too much depth in Chiwoo’s action toward Hwan but, usually in Yaoi we would have or even expect them to put up with it and that’s a happy ending, even if their behavior is toxic, to love them and reassure them no matter what, bc that’s how we usually expect them to show they truly love them. But I think it wasn’t really expected for Chiwoo to distance himself for good. Not bc he didn’t liked Hwan but it’s like a mature mindset he have. Knowing it’s not the best for Hwan, and not allowing toxic behavior in each side somehow. He wanted the best for Hwan platonically and generally, he cared for him.
It wasn’t always a good story in the beginning, kinda mid taking in account the SA and unwanted rape scene, we never even got explanation if Hwan knew who he was attacking, why it was necessary and what would happen if the contractor lost it to the monster. And the cafe moment where he was sent unconscious, he didn’t keep memory? Wasn’t he aware ? In the end some part that I consider cringe was necessary for the ending to fold this good to me.

I used to like it and put up with the rape scene but lately it’s really getting nowhere. Just seeing him suffer to suffer I’m really this close to drop it bc it’s hard to continue. The plot is actually very good and it had potential even with the SA but there’s too much of it… it’s making it horrible. Like, I don’t see a happy ending with how they can repent on this it’s unforgivable

It began as a cliche childhood love story where one obsess over his childhood friend and it seems to be very fluffy at first. The writing skill make you want to continue but oh goodness I wish the translator would have been more precise with the warning.. bc rape is normalized in BL but this? I read my share of yaoi but this almost made me throw up.
The rape not from the seme really is something else, it’s really traumatic but I’d still say it’s a good thing bc it’s as if we were as shocked as Maki when it happened.
If it’s intended from the mangaka that’s well done, and not every story has to be “safe” from bad ending or only good stuff happening where we expect the main lead to appear to save the later. It’s a bold choice bc it does makes a lot of people hate it but that make this story unique.
Also I think the reason why it made me so disgusted and sad at first is because it didn’t seem like this kind of story. Most of story where there’s rape with mob or main lead you don’t except much from storyline and overlook what the victim could feel, whether it’s bad or they end up feeling good. For the later case you’d think it’s “safe” bc it’s with the main lead so it all have a “purpose”.. but here you would expect a story to unfold so it’s a hard take when Maki get raped by someone else than his lover and NOT getting saved by him
Although I think it’s a bit short but it has great development and characters deepness.

I’m not saying it’s a good thing he got raped, I’m saying the fact that I felt traumatized IS a good thing BECAUSE it’s somewhat giving what Maki felt when it happened
I’m not sure if the author has weird fetish or likes drawing rape in particular but it’s just giving lots of darkness to the story and very similar to Harada’s story vibe.

Ok fair enough sorry I thought you were another one of those who enjoy seeing others getting raoed so i apologise also it's kinda known this author does fetishise rape from what I've heard it's in all of their works and from the ones I've seen its always a lot more graphic and longer than regular sex scenes
Wait can someone remind me what the wardrobe is for or the meaning behind it I forgot
It was his grandma's that he wanted to keep
Oh I see thanks
Why did he just leave it tho isn’t she still alive haha I’m confused
Well since she's almost dead and he has no other place for it he decided to just get rid of it since she won't be needing it and he has nowhere to store it
