Oh well maybe it's a problem of language. English isn't my mother tongue and in my own mother tongue, cussing make the boy appear just bad educated to me. A little bit is okay but not as much as the ML can say :') I mean, myself, I do some cussing some times but seriously, a man doing it so openly before a woman erase all the sexyness and sweetness of the character. So yeah, even in english, it does appear so uncool to me x)
I think that's exactly what the author was trying to convey for his character that's why his dialogues are full of cusses. Since he's a commoner and a war hero, he needs to be rough around the edges and crude to create a contrast to the ML's idea of how the nobility like the FL. who seems to be more "dainty" compared to other noblewomen since she has special circumstances due to trauma from long time physical abuse. I think this is one of the common patterns in the romance genre, the opposite attracts trope or something.

Since we're just in chapter 8, who knows maybe he will have a character development along with the FL. Hopefully, he grows calmer while the FL's personality grows stronger. If that happens they'll still maintain the balance of their characters. At least that's what I'm hoping for, I don't know what will happen if the FL remains the way she is. I hope she'll get over her trauma.

I personnaly think FL's disinterest toward her father is normal because she was deceived by him. But for us, as readers, we shouldn't hate the dad because anyone who is in his situation would have 50% of chance to make the same mistake.
His character will develop and evolve so that we will all like him even more afterward. And all those people who were like "I hate him, he deserves worst" will be screaming their love for him. THAT'S LITERALLY WHY THE PHRASE "YOU SHOULDN'T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER" EXIST.
Anyway, if we look at this story with the situation of the Duke, we understand his pain and struggles. If we look with the situation of the FL, we understand how she felt disappointed by her maids and her dad.
That's normal, that's what the author is trying to hint at. The duke will become a real and caring dad, he is developing.

It's not that she hates him, she just doesn't care about him. Could you imagine he did sentenced her to death. Ignored her entirely in the first timeline. Now come back alive with those memories where she was betrayed, ignored, unloved, and killed would you have done the same thing as you did in the past? Yes, it's quite possible considering the fact that she also wants to kills Zena. It might be a plan to trap Zena as well as killing Aristia (and so punishing the prince at the same time). But I really hope she is not stupid to orchestrate this herself.
I agree, she also said something about how the tea tasted, or smelled, stronger like in the first timeline. So maybe Jieun wasn't as simple and innocent as she seemed in the beginning. And maybe Tia's miscarriage was not an accident.
If either one of the girl dies, it will be way too obvious that the crown prince was one of the culprit. Is he dumb? If he stays low, his situation might improve. That's truly a dumb move to do something right now after all this mess. He is definitely not a smart one.
(And villains are the best when they are smart so here is a dumb villain, not taking any of my interest)
