Oh yeah I've read this one, the only chinese webtoon that's not cringy.

I don't know but at first, I was ok and understand why Ripley just asked for a simple "sorry". Because the nobles have so much pride, they usually don't even want to say the word and would just try to compensate with money, etc. However, I agree with the part where she shouldn't dictate what Rosé should or should not do. Even though she wanted best for her, it is still isn't her place to say so.

But I think it's because Ripley knows the novel's story that she keeps acting like this and wants to control others because "that's how they should be in the books". In the end (of this chapter), she still hasn't changed. Even though she accepted the Duke, she still pushes the 2nd lead to the original FL — without consulting nor listening to their feelings.

I feel like she is just acting like all of this is in the book, and still isn't her reality, when it is (now her reality). I hope Ripley's character development happens soon because I was personally offended and pissed off by her choice of words here.

I was also ok with a sorry but in this case, noble or not, Rose still tried to kill her and it would have happened if the duke didn't come to her rescue. How can you forgive someone who tried to kill you? I mean, you can forgive if someone told you a little lie, anything little. But how can you forgive something that meant you could have lost your whole life?
It's not about forgiving since she won't forget anyway. She used words as if she would forget about all of that and acting like a saint while this is just being dumb.
And since Rose did that, it would clearly be obvious that she will continue to be what she is right now.

So yeah, this was a good thing to get a proper apology but in reality, who would accept an apology from someone who almost killed you? That's nowhere near the reality of any psychological phenomenon. Unless it wasn't intended but here, it was.

Anyway, yes, Ripley is not taking this as reality so she just act wrongly and doesn't take a proper approach to those characters. She might be better at this while drunk lol.

From "The Remarried Empress" the Emperor there was a stupid MoFu, A-hole with a superiority complex from her awesome Empress. Trashta on the otherhand was a white lotus "Acts stupid but a sly fox". It is very different from this couple. Goblin suffered from the cruelty of the imperial law and power struggle while Song Young was deprived, neglected and abused by her own fam. She doesn't have a basic educ and common sense. She's a whole example of a Naive Girl.

Emperor and Trashta is an incurable Toxic Relationship.
But Goblin is diff., his love for his wife didn't hurt an innocent person. His possesiveness doesn't bother the FL b'cos both of them need to fulfill the affection that was deprived from them. It just an indication that they complete each other. The toxicity that I can see in this story so far is the Devil Crown Prince and the Empress plus the Servants.

I'm not angry or anything, I'm sharing what I observed while reading both stories especially the novel of The Remarried Empress. Peace

No I was thinking the same thing because she is kinda similar to rashsta. Though I like Young because she isn’t a home wrecker and just simply unknowledgeable. Rashsta knew she was doing something wrong.

I remember leaving a comment in Viridiscent Crown saying Why people do not complain there when in fact it follows the same principle as this story. One commenter there said that Eugene fell in love with a “look alike” of his sister which did not sit with him well (well I acknowledge his point there), but the thing is Eugene never thought of Hari as a sibling!! If you compare it with how the two brothers treat Hari, it is literally miles apart. And later it was revealed/implied that Hari really had feelings with Eugene because if she didnt, then she would had an awkward relationship with Eugene after the kiss, but it instead it solidified her feelings with Eugene. So there isnt really anything wrong bec they are not blood related. They didnt even live together for that long before so the brother-sister relationship didnt actually happened.

Well its a historical manhwa where siblings/cousins from the royal bloodline married to keep the royal blood. Also everyone knows Hari is adopted and they are not related by blood, so the general public accepts it (even the villainess Lady Cardis doesnt say anything about that and comments smth like well they are not related by blood and have the right to love each other)

Yeah that would be a fun pair as well, but Cabel is gonna like Athy from Who made me a princess and after find another girl he marries.
I really like how it played in the novel and their dynamic is really steamy and hot to say the least

The April Fools chapter of Who Made Me A Princess gave all the homophobes a heart attack. So I imagine it would take a pretty gutsy author to hook up two characters who weren't screaming 'gay' every 5 seconds as a secondary pairing. So even though the best/most interesting match for a failed ml is usually another dude, I always know they're not going there.

Yeah, its kinda sad how homophobic the people can be (especially in asian countries) so most of the same sex ships and pairings wont be realized in a "straight" manga setting and mostly can be seen in just BL/yaoi or WL/yuri..
