I get the feeling like stalkers like him get more of a rush outta the whole "cat and mouse" adrenaline than the actual thought of being w/said person they are stalking. it would explain why they basically look for reasons NOT to approach their "love" and instead just insist on weaving mental fantasies of being w/the person. its almost enough to make me want to do some research. ...almost.
