I think the mangaka was trying to show the thoughts in the MC's head rather than what the mangaka actually thought, but you're absolutely damn right

skip beat said it best - an actor, or in this case pop group, has to consider what reporting this will do not to the asshole but to the group and fans. the fans may at 1st be supportive but also it may make fans just uncomfortable in general. its the exact same reason actors DONT want it made public when they are fighting w/other actors. because then fans feels like they have to take sides too or start actually fighting amongst each other or even sending hate mail to the other actor because they feel like their opinions should matter in the case of 2 ppl fighting. its RIDICULOUS the extremes fans will go to so the entertainment industry has a pretty strong opinion too abt those who in-fight and will sometimes stop working w/them too, EVEN if they are the victims, because they see them as trouble makers. its crap. but its how negatively these fights go. its also why, in this case, I do applaud that the guys had the sense to keep pics for blackmail! woo!
