I still don't get people obsession with reincarnated story..I mean this story could have been better without turning back time. Its like u r given a second chance to rectify the mistakes that u made in past life...seriously how weird is that. The emperor just got a free ticket to change everything....
Anyways atleast the emperor realizes mistake in the first chps and took the FL out of her misery ...
I think we're so obsessed with them because we also have regrets, but we know we can never go back in time to fix them. It's satisfying seeing a character taking back what they deserved because they've gotten wiser/know the future, or when they used to be a villain realise what they've done wrong and try to repent. Two of my favourite stories where the protagonist goes back in time are "The villainess reverses the hourglass" and "Doctor Elise". In the first one the FL treated her step sister incredibly bad and was executed for attempting to poison her, but before she died the sister admitted that she had baited her into doing all the bad things she did by planting spies around her that coerced her into everything. When she goes back in time she still acts in a twisted manner, but she outsmarts her sister easily with her experience and even finds out she still has a few people she does genuinely care about despite still being villainous (she really does want her sister and everyone else that treated her badly to suffer as much as possible and is quite neutral towards and doesn't care about ppl she hasn't bonded with and their lives). The second one is about another villainess, Elise, who was executed after truly being quite villainous, her family receiving the punishment as well. Then she got reincarnated in modern day earth as an orphan, changed through her hardships and became a surgeon to atone for her sins by saving ppl. When she died in a plane crash and went back to being Elise she was like a different person but it makes sense because she has already lived through an entire ass life in a different world where her mindset and personality changed.
