i hate stories where the mc is a detective or under cover, because it gets to a point where they are useless because of the ml! like what do you mean you spent 5 days without doing anything, i can understand the first day since he was drugged but not defending himself against ml the other days? nah he too stupid for the job, should be fired honestly
I mean, they mention it repeatedly that he's not cut out for the job, but really, after 2 days, the broker should've gone and look for another goon to the job, I would've assumed he's dead or fled, or something. Also the phone not dying after 5 days and so many calls, that's incredible.
