It’s not often that the parent’s expectation will do anything but burden the child. Shoto hated his father for it, meanwhile Touya/Dabi basically embodied Endeavor. I feel Endeavor should’ve been able to know that Touya wouldn’t give it up just because he told him to. If anyone understood his burning desire to become great, it sure as hell was his oldest son. Believing in him as is, would’ve been a good way to go about it. Instead, he basically neglected his other kids.
I remember how from Shoto’s perspective, his siblings were having fun outside and he never got to play with them because his father was training him to an abusive degree. Meanwhile Touya wanted to be the one getting trained that hard instead of playing with his siblings. That kind of irony sucks.
