The house has ghost and the Blake family are a conduit for said ghosts. So they’re possessed, but keep all mental faculties, and assault the handsome master. The father probably had these feelings without the ghost, someone took rejection personally, wrecked his own life and blames the master for it. Also the master just might be an immortal or something.
