The only reason why he wants him happy, is because that's when they're at their tastiest to be devoured. Which he learned in the library before that fake ass date. I kinda wonder though. If there's no way to escape unless someone else is sacrificed; then what would happen if he commits suicide before the tiger fully devours him???? Would it then return back to the first person that tried to sacrifice the other person?
