As a duke you can't be dependent on a mere maid, and only treat her nicely, that wouldn't do any good for both positions, her leaving made him able to, depend on himself, furthering his growth. If Ibee stayed, he wouldn't have any character growth and it would be boring, and c'mon what he needs right now is growth, Ibee doesn't want a child but a man, he would probably be stuck in his child like ways. Instead of hating on her, understand how much better the story is going to be from now on. Oh yea if she didn't leave we wouldn't get to see the exciting part of him taking her back and claiming her as his woman!
