I think the issue here is not with whether the Senpai asks him to stay at the company or not - instead, the problem I see is that, as a couple, they've not had a proper "conversation" about it.

Perspective A:
These two have just come out of a long-distance relationship, which probably makes them sensitive to being separated any longer. Because practically, you'd think it's easier to long-distance when you're in the same city but different companies rather than different countries altogether - which they've already faced before. So maybe their subconscious mutual wish to stay together isn't because they "don't want to be separated". Instead, it is "They don't want to be separated /anymore/". More than the act of cutting down their arduously - earned time with each other, maybe they want to make up for the last three years lest their relationship not go anywhere. And in this viewpoint, the relationship at this point in their lives takes precedence over work. This is normal.

At the same time, there's a perspective B:
It would certainly be selfish, but realistically so, of the Senpai to ask him to stay, especially when he knows how much he influences Kaneda. From a third person practical standpoint, it doesn't make sense for Kaneda to let go of an opportunity to learn and grow and further in his career that he loves so much, for the sake of a lover who is still going to be a short train ride away from him in the same city. Technically, ignoring the prior pov A, this should be a piece of cake since they've dealt with worse - time difference, lack of physical contact, etc. Here, we would expect the Senpai, as the older and mature guy, to continue to support him just as he decided. From this viewpoint, at this point in their youth, relationship takes a temporary backseat till the career stabilises or grows. And this is normal too.

Going back to my first comment - the reason why it is so important to have a CONVERSATION about about this transfer opportunity - is because these two need to KNOW which of the above perspective they have vs their SO has.

In a relationship, in this situation, neither of the perspectives is wrong - it is merely subjective and depends on your will and desire.

If both of them have the same perspective - i.e. they both want to give each other time, then Kaneda won't have any bitterness from leaving this chance, and since Senpai knows this, he won't feel the guilt of holding his lover back. Because they decide on this MUTUALLY.

A difference is perspective isn't the end of the world either - sometimes you convince the other, sometimes you agree to disagree and compromise. However, compromises can lead to potential issues in the future. If Kaneda wants to join the company, but Senpai wants him to stay and they ultimately goes along with this Senpai WHILE Kaneda is subconsciously unconvinced, then later on Kaneda might feel anger towards and blame his lover for making him "sacrifice" this chance. And this kind of an ugly scenario happens usually when both parties have not had a proper understanding of each other's priorities and needs, or have not provided sufficient incentive to make up for what the other partner has to give up.

Here, since this is a convenient manga, if Senpai asks him to stay, Kaneda just might because subconsciously it seems they BOTH hold Perspective A on the matter. My only suggestion would be that they should also properly converse and discuss what it would entail, because in real life, unfortunately, you cannot telepathically read your partner.

Imagine how messy this could get, if both of them wanted different things but didn't convey it until it was too late to go back and make amends?

However, there is always, of course a chance that despite all conversation and understanding, arguments arise in the future anyway - maybe because people change and so do their priorities with time, or maybe because they underestimated the cons and are now suffering for it.

I know iIm unnecessarily psycho-analyzing this situation like a clown, but I LOVE reading stories with established couples, and seeing how they face the obstacles that are thrown their way.

In my very subjective opinion and based on personal preferences, I would want Senpai to ask Kaneda not to stay at the company, but to instead stay with him;) which is to say - move in together!

After all that they've been through, it would be such a waste for either of them to have to choose between their work and partner, especially when the decision making process is so difficult because, honestly, both matter to them a significant amount.

Anyway that's my unwarranted two cents on what I found interesting, if you made it so far, congrats you just wasted ten minutes of your life(づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

Does anyone know the chapter where Furuichi get's the king's crest? (=・ω・=)

idk why Shirai is getting all that hate in the comments, personally I find his character interesting (=・ω・=)

Sera kinda went overboard there, grabbing Shirai's wrist enough to bruise him. Being petty enough to close the elevator doors is completely fine, funny even, but that physical reaction before was a bit of an overkill, especially because it was clear that Shirai had no intention to hurt Muromiya.

To me, it feels like Sera is not entirely secure in his relationship with Muromiya(I can't recall if they're dating or in a weird romantic space).

Think about it; Shirai has not even made any move to distance the two of them, nor expressed any malicious intent, he's literally just chilling. But Sera took on such explicit hostility.

Being possessive is completely natural, and I find that part adorable, but Sera's extreme reaction when Shirai has done nothing to warrant that except maybe express the slightest, normal amount of interest in Muromiya, felt kinda immature of him.

That kind of hostility, I feel, is much sexier when implicit and controlled.

But I suppose Sera's reaction is realistic, he's much younger than them, and has much less experience liking someone so much, so he probably doesn't understand how to approach things more rationally.

This could probably just be me projecting my preference for emotionally mature characters haha. It'll be interesting to see how Sera copes with this, and grows from it. Relationship developments are delicious to witness tooლ(´ڡ`ლ)

tldr; Shirai is cool and Sera could use some growing up. Muromiya is cute as usual~

I kinda felt the same. I mean Shirai may turn out to be a “bad guy” but at this point he’s not really done anything other than being helpful and then just curious. I think Sera is insecure because they haven’t really defined themselves. Muromiya said that their coworker was right and that him and Sera will make the best mismatched team or something like that. That’s the most definition their relationship

For some reason my comment got cut shorter and ended mid sentence lol
I was just finishing with thats the most definition their relationship has that I can remember so I’m sure Sera is worried that someone else could easily steal is senpai away from him. But acting controlling like that very likely will piss Muromiya away or could make Shirai want to mess with him even more especially if Sera’s gonna keep reacting like that.

Yes!! Exactly my sentiments! Incriminating Shirai five seconds into his appearance in the story, simply for things he MIGHT do but hasn't dropped any hints of doing yet, just doesn't feel right ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

"Insecure in the definition of their relationship" AH you're so rightlove the choice of words, couldn't agree more.

ksnksn yea mangago does that weird comment sniping thing often rip(/TДT)/

Imo what you said frames it all up perfectly (=・ω・=) Unless Muromiya has extreme self-esteem issues (which would make him desire a possessive partner and Sera's current self would suit him more), I dont think either that he's gonna like Sera's helicopter behavior

Loving how the author's carrying this story!
Something that especially struck me as amazing, is the mutuality of it all - too often, mangakas focus on the reactions of the uke alone, but here, we can see how utterly aroused/excited/interested the seme is - and the uke sees it too! And his response couldnt have been better;)

tldr; Seeing the seme's cheeks fluster red in obvious interest is wonderfully refreshing!
